We've watched a lot of anime in our lives, but which one is our absolute favorite? This topic has been created to find out. Discuss the absolute best anime you ever watched here.

RULES
1. It has to be an anime that YOU have seen from start to finish; i.e. you've seen every single episode of that anime. Anything else doesn't count.
2. Animes that only have three or less episodes do not count. Abolished. OVAs are now allowed.
3. Movies are allowed so long as that movie is the only representation of that anime's franchise (excluding anything the movie was based on.)
4. No English ADAPTATIONS. What's an Adaptation? It's a bastardized version in which the comnpany dubbing it decided to change the plot, or f*** with the translation, or Americanize the characters, or perform censorship that isn't necessary, for the sake of "appeasing to a younger audience". Regular and uncensored English dubs do not fall into this category as they are DUBS and nothing more. In layman's terms, No dubs done by 4Kids Entertainment, Nelvana, or any similar dubbing company.
5. NO HENTAI! I'm serious, any hentai anime posted here will not be considered.
6. Respect the opinions of all who post here, except for those who break rules one through four. These are our opinions, and nothing else matters.

I'll start.

The best anime I've ever watched was Cardcaptor Sakura. Cardcaptor Sakura begins when ten-year-old fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto (木之本 桜, Kinomoto Sakura) accidentally releases a set of magical cards called Clow Cards from the Clow Book, created and named after half-English, half-Chinese sorcerer Clow Reed (クロウ・リード, Kurō Rīdo). Each card has its own personality and characteristics and can assume alternate forms when activated. The guardian Beast of the Seal Cerberus (ケルベロス, Keruberosu)—nicknamed "Kero-chan"—emerges from the book and tells her it is now her responsibility to retrieve the missing cards. As she finds each card, she battles its magical personification and defeats it to seal it away. Kero-chan acts as her guide, while her best friend Tomoyo Daidōji (大道寺 知世, Daidōji Tomoyo) films her exploits and provides her with battle costumes. Sakura's older brother Tōya Kinomoto (木之本 桃矢, Kinomoto Tōya) watches over her, while pretending that he is unaware of what is going on. A boy Sakura's age and descendant of Clow Reed, Syaoran Li (李 小狼, Rī Shaoran, Chinese Pinyin: Lǐ Xiǎoláng), arrives from Hong Kong to recapture the cards himself, but finds his goal complicated as he comes to respect Sakura and begins aiding her instead.

The story was DAMN good for a show made in '81.

Especially because it comes from a Super Robot show, where you're not expecting an amazing f*** story.

Did I mention how much I f*** love Baldios?

The world of S-1 is polluted to hell. Marin's father is a scientist who is about to crack the pollution issue when Gatter's troops appear, kill him, and destroy the machine. He then performs a military coup and usurps the high council, taking the entire population of S-1 through pseudo-space in order to find a new planet to conquer to find his people a new home. Marin follows him through pseudo-space to stop him, but ends up on Earth, where he crashes, and find that this is a non-polluted world he wants to protect. The members of a weather observation organization pick him up, and after deciding they could combine his ship with their own, they create Baldios to stop Gatter's forces, who have already begun to attack Earth, and Marin ends up meeting a woman named Aphroditia, who he actually met at the lighthouse on S-1.

The story continues further, and gets pretty depressing, and I don't want to ruin it for anyone. However, the show was never available in English (only Italian and Japanese. I watched it in Italian), and the English VHS movie dub is pretty much impossible to find (I own it), so I doubt anyone here will ever see it, so ending spoilers here:

Baccano! was an anime I enjoyed recently, the anachronic order between the various stories, the wonderful characters (especially Issac and Miria), and it's setting is pretty different from the norm.

There is no single anime that I have favourited so I'll shoot for a classic. Cowboy Bebop. Back then, when I first watched it, it was the French dub, and coming back to watch it again in English and Japanese, I haven't found much complaints with it.

It was just..amazing. Funny, action-y, and all the techniques and villains were unique as hell.
