You mean like in Brawl if you're not super pro?

Smash bros. is not the same, you have all of the same attacks available to you throughout the entire game. (Unless you use items :/)
in this you dont have that, you just build up a bar until you can use this super attack, plus the combos dont really look that great, it seems your just doing 1-2 maybe 3 hits and then stopping, rinse, repeat...

Pretty much this. And, as I said, it makes all other moves useless. It's quite ridiculous. Also, I've seen people get more KOs with a normal attack than a Smash Ball when they're new. This isn't the same case; You can actually do s*** with your normal attacks in SSB. Then we take a look at this, which.. yeah.

I have yet to see a single hit kill someone at 0%. Show me a video of this and I take back my previous remark.

Nononono, I suppose I worded that badly.

In Brawl, we don't charge up our super bars to go lazorz. You do indeed use attacks to prepare, but this isn't the same concept. It's more of the fact you do useless attacks and then just do some special to finish it off. In SSB's case, you attempt to get a KO by any means possible. You don't rely on OP'd things.

Oooh, okay. Nevermind then, I misunderstood.

@ Kuro Kagami
Exactly!

@Ballton
It really dosent take that much to follow through a combo, whether they have skill or not.

I'm referring to true combos, as in every or almost every attack in the combo hits before the hitstun wears off.
Also I'm only talking about Brawl.

I don't like the battle system of "only the last move counts", but the characters themselves look fun. All I can hope is that they change that one element of the game.

@Ballton, Oh, Well It dosent seem like the combos are useful in this though, and like I said, you cant get much more than 1-2-3 hits.

Combo's arent all that extensive in Dissidia either, but the game is still fun as hell to play.

..And combos aren't all that extensive in Shin Megami Tensei, but the game is still fun as hell to play. Why? Because the game really doesn't need combos much at all.

I understand this game is a "last shot counts" sort of game, and even with the terrible engine already, I think there should be more than one or two sparkly moves to use. I've seen gameplay of Dissidia and it looks quite badass. As compared to this, which is all "i hit u 3 time then sparklez". Much more repetitive, no?

When you put it that way, then yes it does sound quite bad

According to an image of a revealed/rumored character:
Image
it looks like ICO is also going to get involved in this too. We could probably even see shadow colossus tie in.

Also, according to an early leak before the game's announcement way back: they leaked progress on Nariko (heavenly sword). Also, two of the stages involve "ratchet & clank" and "jak & daxter" according to IGN's scoop so it's a definite spot for Ratchet and Jak.

To me, all that screenshot means is "Team Ico's games are in it"

Which to me means a stage where a Colossus fights one of the bosses from Demon's Souls, or perhaps a Metal Gear
