I hope this topic isn't a little off, but it seems like this is the appropriate place to put it.

As you know a mirror battle is when two people pick the same character to battle each other.

The question of the topic is: If it was possible to fight an actual copy of your character, not an AI copy, but a legitimate clone that thought, acted, and fought just like you, would you do it? do you think you'd win?

Since the question is SSF2 specific, I hope this is the right place for the question. If not, I will move it.

My clone would probably wreck me first stock, and then I would adapt to myself and win lol

I'll probably tie like the first 20 min, and then I would try an.... wait... my clone is my clone so he'll try to play better as well so we'll just tie again and again for all eternity

Although this is likely, nothing can be proven as this is not an actual possible thing to do.

One of myselves would read and adapted to the other after the first few matches, to the point where he began winning every match after. Which ever gets the lead first, the other would not be able to catch-up.

the real answer to this question is the winner would be chosen pretty arbitrarily based on minor environmental factors and starting position, since those are the only things that aren't exactly identical between the two players
