IIRC, One of the devs said that Capsule is his N-Spec
His Jumping-Grabbing-Thingy is most-likely his S-Spec
Bob-Omb is his U-Spec
Dunno his D-Spec

Isnt it risky? For a Sandbag who is tired of being a punching bag and now out for revenge. His move set may kinda place him on a low rank on the tier list.

I watched the recording of the stream, I think it was mentioned day 3?

I also saw this weird move sandbag did where he spins around in mid-air. Not like his N-Air spin, more like his Fan attack animation spin

I wonder if he still has the property of having the same weight and fall speed as :mario:

, like he does in v0.9b. As nice as he'll be to play as, I'll still appreciate having a character suitable for a designated... well, punching bag.

After watching Smash Con footage, I conclude:

1. The weird spinny mid-air animation is his Airdodge
2. I find capsule not that useful with only a 1/8 chance of exploding and a 7/8 chance of dealing only 8% damage
3. Sandbag's Animations are funny
4. Sandbag is hard to use but doesn't seem to be that rewarding, even tson has a difficulty winning with Sandbag
5. Still Don't know his D-Spec

I hope Sandbag gets a buff in at least his N-Spec as I find it useless without items on and even then, the opponent can still use the items

I don't know. To me, Capsule (with items off) seems like a more useful version of :peach:

's Vegetable. IIRC, a common "happy" turnip not only does 7% damage as opposed to Capsule's 8%, it's also much easier to counter than a capsule since it doesn't disappear on impact.

Plus, an Exploding Capsule is much more likely than a Dead Turnip.

I see it like :gameandwatch:

's Extreme Judge custom move in SSB4; the most desired result appears more often, at the cost of power.

Sure, but it's his N-Spec and Turnips have better combo ability and you know the kind of Turnip you get so you can preemptively plan what to do. It also takes a longer time to "pluck" a capsule than a Turnip.

Nevertheless, I still think he needs some buffs here and there. Maybe Heavy Armor on Neutral or Side B.

And I hope he gets a Counter Down-B like the Punching Bag punches Back... but that's just my thought

It's a dash in a direction of your choice that can be canceled. A lot of people noticed the animation (sandbag does a little swirl) and were like "what is this move" whilst simultaneously not knowing what dspecial is and not putting two and two together lol.

Also yeah Sandbag is never going to be top tier. He has very polarized matchups. For example vs. CF you're pretty much screwed. Whoever gets a hit has a guaranteed kill combo on the other character but CF is way faster and has better movement options.
