SSF2 Suggestions

Well they are the easiest examples that I could give so that's why I said them. What character matchups would like to see with a unique animation during the end of the match menu?

Fox and Falco (If he gets in) and... that's all I can think of (tough, I'd like to see some Fire Emblem ones, just like Smash 4)

While I do agree that those smash 4 talks are good and can be added in I think it would be better if characters didn't talk to ones from their own series. I would like characters to talk or do a different animation for those with similar play styles, backgrounds, and etc. I think it would be nice to see unique stuff for Issac vs Ness, Wario vs Donkey Kong [both started out as enemies in a Mario but later made their own franchise], and etc.

If they do go with the unique match up idea and decide only for characters to talk characters when they're in the same series then I would like see something for Meta Knight vs Kirby.

That would make no absolute sense. Here's why:
-Aside from the fact that both use energy-based attacks (Psinergy and PSI) Isaac and Ness have nothing in common.
-Making up character relationships like this would certainly kill the concept. Why? Because all characters that have this feature in official Smash games have made at least ONE appearance in the same franchise excluding cameos and crossovers. That said, making up character conversations would be completely unfaithful to the original source.
-Voice Acting. Simply, Voice Acting. If ripping Sound effects is hard by itself, make voice acting for this would just be impossible. (And imitating voices won't do the job done)
That said, this is a pretty unlikely feature. However, if there are preset Teams in Classic Mode (Like in Melee, you have to face against 2 characters that share similar backgrounds, abilities, ties within a franchise, etc. Example: Ness & Mewtwo appeared as a team in melee because both use Psychic abilities. Link and Marth also appeared as a team in Melee, because both use swordfighting.
I agree with the idea of tying characters outside from their franchises, it's just that Classic Mode would get the job done easier than custom victories.

That is true that the classic mode could do outside teams. What about while having rival unique endings [like Fox vs Falco cause they kind of act like rivals; they could include team based unique ends [very few of these as it would be harder to do compared to rival ones] where characters that win on a team interact to a certain degree with each other. A simple example of this would be a team with Mario and Luigi winning but the teams done for this would have to be established teams from a franchise meaning crossover teams. Or this impossible as well?

I know that I already said this in another thread, but nobody had replied, so I'm going to say it again.This time however, I'm going add on a little more. This is my opinion.

1. I believe, in Online Mode, there should be a chat room for people that are online to communicate with others. Of course, you may need to have moderators, but that's your opinion. The rules for online chat should be the same for forum chat beside the professional speaking.

2. There should also be a counter for how many people are online, just like it is on the forums. If possible, it could include the name of the people online as well.

3. The ability to report players for any wrongdoings. It could range from cheating (hacking) to lagging continuously. You may need to work with a moderation system to work this.

4. When playing online, you have an abbreviation of who's playing each character. This is to make sure that you don't get confused when someone has the same character as you.


There may be a good chance that these three ideas may not be include, but please give it some thought before you blow it off (Hopefully you don't).

Change the amount of people that an go into a room. Seriously, I end up with 4 players all the time because 3 people enter all at once within a second of the first. This also means I get no time to choose a color, or even a character if I make the room.

We need faster star k.o's. Alot feel like their too slow. Crusade has faster star k.o's similar to melee's. And we need star k.o's like that.

They still had the star k.os remain the same in the apex build. I hope they fix it up in beta. And I hope Llyod gets a star k.o scream this Beta. And wario and sora need a screen k.o sound effect.

#3: Because I can't see anyone who's just plain losing badly accusing the opponent of cheating, or blaming their own s*** connection on the opponent. :roll: (given that even a brand new computer can't run the game at a reasonable speed, even with every setting optimized...)

I see that suggestion around all the time, and if you ask me, the devs will be run ragged by it if they include it. This is the SSB fanbase, after all. The majority of us are vindictive little f***.

i think that there should be better palette swaps for the characters some examples include
battle damaged goku
goku (saiyan armor)
Fire mario
Ice mario
sonic with shadows colour scheme
scourge sonic
dark kirby
blood falcon(captain falcon)
etc.

This is propably impossible, as they are limited in their colour palettes by Flash. They cant just go and create one, they usually do the regular sprite, and then experiment with the possibilites they have. Would be awesome though... Puff needs her crown and Pika his magic hat back - or at least the goggles.

If they use the Same trick with Kirby's hats.

They surely can do with Purin and Pikachu.

Even though they said he's a starter character and was a starter on the apex build, I'm speculating Mr. Game and Watch to be secret character. It seems fishy to me with the new modes and stuff making it possible for unlocks. I'm just speculating so don't bash.
