I honestly don't know whether this fit in upcoming games or coder's paradise, but since I haven't actually begun most of the actual coding because i'm learning some intermediate game programming concepts, i posted it here.

I've quit game maker and moved on to java. It was a pretty easy language to learn but I still need to learn a few more things. I've started a great idea for a game that i would be really proud of.

It's a kind of blocky 2d game, like minecraft/terraria but very, very different.
The idea i've got in my head is very different of the main things you do in minecraft or terraria, so it's not a FULL clone.

It'll have some rpg elements aka questing and slaying monsters and the such. Leveling and shops are being considered too. And it'll be more realistic, like you can't punch trees to get wood/dig dirt that fast with your hands. The only thing i need is an original name.

P.S. If you want to tell me "that's such a big project i doubt you'll make it", please leave now. I'm ready to learn whatever I need to make this dream game come true.

P.P.S. After i get some of it done so that it's playable, i'll post this in the upcoming games section. The one with best name can choose whether they want their username in the credits or not.

EDIT: OOOH what about Gridius or Gridium? which is better?

Those are pretty interesting names, depends on if you're going for some kind of galactic or scientific game. Giridium sounds like some sort of element from the periodic table and Gridius sounds like some sort of space commander. I also know that Gradius is an old time space game so you might want to steer away from that. What about Gridiverse?
