MLG, or Major League Gaming, is a company that hosts many tournaments around the US multiple times a year, like in Providence, Anaheim, Columbus, and more. They change up their lineup for games every so often, but usually it's pretty consistent. This time around it's SC2, LoL, and many fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur. As a StarCraft player myself, this is pretty awesome for me especially this time around because they're bringing the SC1 pros to play exhibition matches, as well as all the glimpses into the new expansion, Heart of the Swarm. Stream page I believe the stream will be up in a couple hours. It'll run through Sunday. _________________

It will be cool watching the brood war players play SC2 even though they're kind of bad at this point.
As far as the normal tournament, Stephano is basically the only foreigner hope (as usual), so I'll be rooting for him. I would also be happy if Symbol took it. If a Korean wins, I would rather have it be him than someone who's won/done well a bunch before (MMA, MKP) or an overhyped one on a foreign team (Polt, Heart). |
