I have to take time to appreciate and see the designs of the stages in full. I like the stage design team's work to make each stage look and run well.
But as for the game's balance, mmm, I think it could be a tiny bit better in varied areas and characters, probably.

Is there a way to punish players who frequently quit, I mean quitting because of how laggy the online mode is understandable. But when the game is running just fine and then you quit? :/

Unfortunately, no. Some games have that, or at least an automated rank penalty or something along those lines, but SSF2 doesn't.

Also, the case of Renji's assist trophy is kinda hilarious. First he gets cut from the planned playable roster. Then he gets cut from the role he was reduced to.

Renji was cut? No wonder I never see him as an Assist in Beta. Well at least we have cool ones like Mother Brain, Rambi, and such. Plus the ability to have multiple ATs makes me giddy.

Speaking of ATs, I tbh am kinda upset they changed Lakitu? I mean, his role in Brawl and SSB4 was OK, but I feel like his role in this game pre-Beta was... more fitting. I also feel this way for Mega Man and Wario. I always found Mega Man's pre-Beta moveset for fitting for a representation of the series, and Wario, though I like his redesign and new attacks, am pretty pissed that they scrapped his down aerial for the one in Brawl and SSB4.

Personally, I'm hoping this is a sign that Amigo has a chance at being playable, but I won't hold my breath. (Believe it or not, but he was one of the SEGA characters outside of the Sonic series that I actually wanted to be playable for SSF2....before he was confirmed as an AT.)

It's the biggest leap in SSF2's progress I've seen so far! Now this game feels a lot more like a Smash game. One thing I didn't like though was another Master Hand in Event 51 (which is ridiculously annoying to unlock) instead of Crazy Hand in Insane Classic mode.

I'm pretty sure the full build is going to have Crazy Hand in Classic Mode's harder difficulties. The second Master Hand in Event 51 is a placeholder I think

We need more Kirby buffs
Overall the game is mostly balanced and enjoyable. Online seems to be pretty smooth now most of the time (even tho the room wont load after a match ends half the time). I really enjoy Target test as I play that a lot when I'm not playing online.
