Basically a thread for speculation on how likely a veteran character (characters playable from SSF but cut from the sequel) and how they'll implemented at Beta. This thread also includes characters that have been considered and/or cut from SSF and the sequel. I'll list down all candidates and rate how likely they are to return and if so, how would they play in SSF2. Everything here is all speculation and is of my personal opinion. Please feel free to state your opinions about the matter too below.

Blade - Probably
He's an OC made by Cleod. Pretty much got that daddy privilege. Being completely original, he has a lot of moveset potential, taking qualities from Sonic characters. He's sword play reminds me of Marth, so he'll probably play more like a sworddancer with a few physical attacks courtesy of his Sonic heritage. They could also try something completely new with him, being an OC after all. Also he's already got a sprite redesign for SSF2 before he was cut. Whether as a love letter for the original game or a newly revamped character with some brand new mechanics, he's a decent choice for a series mascot. |

Young Link would be alright but only if he has an original moveset - if we're gonna get any Link semiclone be it Toon Link. I guess Mewtwo's someone missing too but I'd rather have Lucario in all honesty. And for the umpfteenth time, Gilgamesh > Cloud any day _________________

It's more of a manhunt then actually speculating whether they'll make it back or not, but I'm interested in the outcome. As for the meanwhile, I apologize for the delay of continuing the thread. I'm drafting all of my comments into one post so it'll be more of an easy read. It'll probably take a few days. Also i'm s*** at forums so there's that  |
