On the Board Index, where it lists the forums, are the red dots really necessary? Of COURSE there's going to be SOME topic you haven't read yet - you can't have read every single post in every single topic in the forums.

In that case, it just creates more work for the server to try to see whether you've read the topics or not.

Actually, I find it useful. It's annoying having to click everything just to check if there's a new post.

Can't you just check the Last Post column?

Do you really want to memorise when the last post in every section was made?

Then what's the point of the red circles? They tell you if a SINGLE POST was made in ANY OF THE TOPICS in that ENTIRE FORUM.

EDIT: We can keep the ones inside the forums, but for the board index they're practically useless.

So it is a bad thing that it tells when a new post is made? Personally I find it useful for when I am active (lol)

There's no way I'm getting rid of this, these circles indicate if there is even a reason to go into a forum to check for updates in the first place
