SSF2 style Lloyd WIP.

I know the shading on the hair needs tons o work, but here's an idea of it. I'm pretty happy with the face in general.

The face is excellent! Lloyd looks too tall and what is his stance based on?

I agree that he's too tall, I plan on making his upper body a bit shorter as it's too long now.
Thanks for the compliment on the face!

The stance is an edited version from the one in ssf2 currently; I just didn't like the way he held his swords. I could boot up ToS 1 or 2 and check out that stance though. I recently played ToS: 2 (I actually like that game...so sue me) and he stood quite erect in that one, so there's some inspiration there.

The body being too tall is one of the most annoying things in spriting characters.

your pikachu work is pretty good. the only thing I don't really like about the new pikachu is the frames that his tail is represented by a strip of pixels, it looks kind of weird.

Yeah, in stills it does look a bit odd like that. I think it looks much better passing in motion.

Thank you for the input.

Those are looking quite good, specially the pikachu animation, really smooth and clean. I would like to see more animations like that from you ;)

The base.

Working on some demon fang key frames.

EDIT:
Question, for SSF2 style, should these swords have black outlines or no?

Well, Most of the weapons used by the SSF2 characters have black outlines

If any outline at all, it should be a colored outline to fit the swords color.

Because right now, they stick out like a sore thumb.

Meh I like the black outline look, personally.

But to fit in with SSF2 I'll try coloring them.

EDIT: Image
Flamberg could probably use to be a bit larger, plus needs the hilt fixed to match ToS.
Hair could probably use a colored outline.

I think it's getting there though.

EDIT II: Worked on some of the above.
