I have a vague recollection of a design I once drew for a portable Gamecube. Then the DS came out, and that dream was shattered.

But that's completely off topic, so let me just personally say how PO'd I am at Nintendo for announcing this new product so soon. My DSi has barely even had time to taste the air.

How far into development is it, anyway?
For all we know, unless something states otherwise, it could come out in years. And not like 2012 or anything.

The thought of 3D without glasses confuses/worries me, mainly because of how movies have (Up until recently) gone about using 3D. Nowadays it's used more for affect, and actually locks good. But a while back, the entire point of 3D was too have stuff jump out at you, period. The difference is between Up and Spy Kids 3D, Up's 3D was used to visually enhance the movie, SK3's was just for the "OMG it might hit me in the face!!!" factor (Which, admittedly, is amazing when you're high out of your mind >_>)

...Anyway. I believe this could turn out well IF Nintendo goes about it correctly.. We'll see, I suppose.

And I kept my original DS, and it still works fine.

This whole 3DS is a new console though, so you're gonna need it to play its games.

They're just using iPhone Tech to just make it 3D. And they're just doing this because the DS didn't have a C stick or C pad. A good gaming system should have 4-D effects.
