Snow fell gracefully on the passing landscape as the train sped along it's tracks. The passengers sat in their rather uncomfortable seats and held quiet conversations amongst themselves. Strange day for a killing. The boarders were quickly awakened from their peace when two noises, one after the other, resounded throughout the boxcars. The sound was quite distinguished. Gunshots. Shocked, the passengers began to run and hide, panicking every which way. A single voice shouted above all of the cries. David's voice projected across the passenger freight as he called out, "We cannot just hide. The murderer is still on the tra-" his strong call was cut off by an even louder noise than before. The whole locomotive shook as it erupted off the tracks at a sharp turn, somehow refraining from falling to its side. Conversation buzzed among the shocked passengers.

Austin, who had just woken up from a nap due to the gunshot, wiped some drool off the corner of his mouth, and slowly got up. He decided to try and go as far up to the front as possible, to see what was going on.

Chris jerked up from his semi-sleep and looked around. "Hmph, can't anyone get any sleep around here?" He turned to whoever sat next to him and nudged, asking "Hey, what happened?"

"Ah!" Matthew fumbled the book that he was reading, in response to the gunshots. "A k-k-killing?" he asked to no one, his left hand shaking a whole lot more.
