Eh this isn't always true
Metroid: Other M was ruined because it took place before Metroid Fusion. It's said a character named Adam died heroically before the events of Fusion, and in Other M, he's alive. Guess who dies heroically near the end?
I'm not into Batman but I took a bit of a glance here for s*** and giggles.

I thought he was being sarcastic.



Also, I thought Other M was ruined for reasons other than being a midquel. Reasons like being terrible.

A prequel can be good, if it lays the connection between the titles before it and later titles. Snake Eater comes to mind.

I tend to be negative about prequels most of the time, but I have a particularly bad feeling here. Stuff like Snake Eater and Devil May Cry 3 etc. make for better prequels because we son't know their universes. But Batman's origins have been done many times. Even if this is a new take, it's pretty easy to know what's going to happen in the end and I don't know that much more can be reinvented.
That and Arkham City left us with plenty of dangling threads for another sequel, I wanted to know where those were going

Word currently has it Conroy will not return to voice Batman.
I'm actually not bothered by this much... Don't get me wrong, Kevin Conroy is my favorite Batman, bar none, but he's really past the point he can play a young Batman. And there have been some decent other actors playing him in the DC animated movies and such, so this loss isn't horrible

As long as that it isn't Christian Bale Batman voice in this game lol. I can deal with whoever else that they pick who is hopefully as good.

So far, it's an amazon exclusive pre-order. Definitely got my attention there.

Roger Craig Smith as the Bat? Yeah... Actually that's kind of an awesome choice. He does a great Seigfried in Soul Calibur, I'll bet he'll be a great gruff Batman.
Aaaaaaaannnnnnd then there's Troy Baker as Joker... Okay, Troy Baker is an excellent voice actor, no doubt, but I really don't know how I feel about him playing Joker... Especially in the same continuity as Hamill.
I was really hoping they'd leave Joker out of this one...

Joker was to be expected, really. He is too popular to not include.

There was actually nothing wrong with doing that, it was an interesting narrative technique. If you think that's why Other M was ruined there's something wrong with you.

Game's also coming to the 3DS isn't it? Sounds kinda neat, maybe I'll pick up both versions one day or another.

Any villains that people hope to see? I kind of want to see Man-Bat but he doesn't suit super-well into the story context of the game.
