Don't know if anyone has said it as i haven't read all the posts on this thread but if it's possible, we need a player limit in online mode. I hate trying to have a 1 v 1 and 3 people join in .3 seconds

I second this. It made much more canonical sense to have Fire Mario as Mario's FS, not some wall of SDI-able flame. Why get rid of all those fantastic sprites anyw---
Oh. Never mind... :mario:
It could very well come back. If so, I'd guess the devs wanted to save a little time until they could resprite Fire Mario properly. The Mario we have now is beautiful, so I'm pretty content with his Brawl FS for now.

Honestly, Fire Mario always looked like some sort of super mario bros z OC s***, I always tought it was flat out dumb, since Mario never had any of those attacks in his games.
However, I have a suggestion for his FS:
Have him raise his hands first and show a spades card symbol around him and then use his Final Smash, it'd be a nice reference to Super Mario RPG, since that game is hardly referenced in Smash.
Edit:
Forgot about the fact that plenty of moves from Peach and Bowser came from that game, I was refering to any reference by name.

Bring back the "Press space" button on the Character Select. I've seen many new players who weren't around for previous versions struggle to find the start button.
I realize that space is an easy button to find, but the official games all say "Press Start" or "Press Start/+", so why not?

I'm certain that's the biggest mistake they can just fix in one revision.

Revision being in an example from 0.9b v1982 to 1983. lol

It'd be nice to see Super Smash Flash 2 incorporate some of Smash 4's mechanics. Biggest speculation would be the implantation of the "Rage" mechanic as this could provide further balance for some characters.

I don't know if I've brought this up before or not, but I feel it's important enough to bring up again:

Toggleable backgrounds.

Some of the more resource-intensive stages are nearly impossible to play on with most users' computers... including some of the most heavily-used tournament stages (where a constant maximum framerate is a prerequisite).

I propose we take the solution from Smash 64's Training Mode. Here's what I mean.

Sector Z isn't one of the problem stages, but I used it because it was easy to compare. The stages that I'm actually worried about are things like Meteo Campaigns, Pokémon Colosseum(/Stadium 3), and Final Destination, all three of which have given users trouble consistently.

I'm against it not because of the mechanic itself, but because of the further controversy it would bring. Quite a few people have criticized the Rage mechanic as rewarding bad play, and while I don't agree with this, the criticism is fairly widespread and I do see where the opinion comes from.

I think Sandbag Soccer needs timed matches, like actual soccer.

I'm pretty sure you can set the options to incorporate time and other things like, "first to x amount of points wins."

from what i saw in the streams, you could only change the amount of points needed to win

Meh, that was Apex build, a game that's only been worked on for a couple of months. Now however... There will be so many new things...

Ledge Snapping and trumping (don't really care about trumping though).

Recently some of your posts i've read are you talking about smash 4 mechanics and why you prefer them over the ones we have now.
Ledge snapping makes recovering easier, something ssf2 doesn't really need considering a large majority of the cast have no trouble recovering. Trumping we have, in a sense anyway. Just grab the ledge if your opponent tries to sweet spot a recovery and they'll fall to their death. Is this game too hard for you or something?

Sheild-dropping definitely.
