13 was good but okay.

Will there ever be another good FF? I've never played 14, was it good? I plan on getting it for the PS3.

I can't people can sit there and genuinely believe that any FF game is bad. They're all great and magnificently designed, and they all have their own charm. I understand not liking one, but calling it 'bad' is something different entirely. I didn't like XII personally, but that doesn't make it a bad game. Ugh. XIII and XIII-2 are both wonderful in their own ways, and they both have negative sides, just like any game.

Go pick XIII up and play it all the way though. 100% sure you won't be disappointed.

I have, didn't really like it. Hated how I couldn't switch characters until like the third disk, hated the fact that there weren't any towns or really any NPC interaction at all and I pretty much used the same weapon with everyone throughout the entire game. I just wasn't a huge fan of 13.

While completely undermining the wonderful story? Of course if you fully focus on all of the negatives the game will see worse. But, what makes up for it is XII-2. They make up for each other's weaknesses. All of the issues you're speaking of were fixed completely in XII-2. The story isn't the best, but it's far from bad. You should give it a shot at least.

I never said that I wasn't going to get FF13-2. I also do not focus on only the negatives. I loved the story, it just took me two times to understand it, lol.

when you call an FF game bad it's usually relative to another FF game like IV or VI, which was when the quality standard of FF games was set

personally i loved FFXIII until the overworld part because grinding is necessary then, and not through the previous parts of the game

XIII-2 was f*** beautiful. Especially the DLC battles. They put forth so much effort into them. The Gilgamesh fight was just amazing.

True. FF fanbase is known to be very divisive. Not many people like every installment in the series.

Yes it was the band Yui performed it and did an oriental mix of the song.

I like all the ones I've played, with the exception of X-2.

Probably a little late to add my own opinion on this, but I'm going to anyways.

What I hate is that most people aren't patient enough to actually get to the good section of the game, and instead instantly call it bad when they've only seen the corridors of the opening parts. Its a wonderful game, it just takes a while to get to the best part.

I really need to restart FFXIII from scratch, sooner or later... I just really never got to liking the combat system(f*** TIMED BATTLES), the characters (except for Sazh) or the fact that I felt so railroaded... Soooo much of that game left me with a bad aftertaste.
