I'll probably regret this but it seems like fun at the moment

May I recommend you to watch Ultraseven?
It's the sequel series of the original Ultraman from 1960s. I liked it when I was a kid (here in my country there were several reruns, along with Ultraman Tiga from 97) and if you're into old Kaiju stuff I'm sure you'll like it.
It's all cheesy and dated but I still enjoy it. This show also cemented the idea of encapsulated monsters so there you go.
If you get tired (it's like 49 episodes long) just skip to the 2 final episodes, it's a lot stronger if you watch the whole thing but the ending is still good.
I can give you a list of the more relevant/best episodes if you don't feel like watching the whole thing if you want.

I've been recommending Big O for maybe the past 2 years now so reccing anything else would feel like a sin

As far as shows go if you have netflix check out Twin Peaks so you'll be ready for the revival in a few months. For games I just got a new laptop so I've been replaying all the s*** that ran horribly so if you never touched Shadow of Mordor it has a really neat system with it's enemies. FLCL comes back this month too but I'm sure you knew that

okay so I played Spyro the Dragon (the first one) for like an hour or so

i like it! once i got over the kinda clunky camera (as you'd expect from any 3D game of the time) i was having fun. nice environments with collecting things to promote exploration and some good moves to do said exploration with (ramming into things feels really satisfying). also genuinely still good looking, even 18 years on. will play more of.
