I'm curious. Has anyone actually upgraded to the RC yet without DBing? How's it working for you?

Wait... someone explain to me what exactly Windows 7 is. So far, it sounds like a downgrade form Vista.

Its what Vista should have been. Or so I heard. Because its actually backwards compatibility now, along with not chewing up resources while you're playing games. Those are the two most prominent (and important, at least to me) things I remember.

Hm... I've never had issues with Vista eating things up while I play games. It's always been perfect for me.

Look up system requirements for contemporary games. They'll usually have two sets, one for Vista and XP (and if the developers remember, one for a Mac too for a total of three). Compare them.

Yes. It also uses DX11 which means the computer doesn't know the difference between RAM and video card memory and mixes them together. In some cases (especially gaming) that's the dumbest move you could ever make.

I think that's exactly what it is...

That IS exactly what it is. But, it might have its ups. We must wait and see.

I don't get why people complain about Vista. I think it's a lot better than XP.

And I've never had speed issues with it until a few months ago on one of my computers (but that's probably just because I've used up 80% of the hard drive).

You really should read what I posted. Why does Vista require one more GB of RAM when XP doesn't? It's a ridiculous waste, especially on a 32-bit machine.
