On vista, does anyone know how to password protect a folder? Like, so that you need a password to open a folder in windows explorer?

Stop downloading porn. Anyway, you can create a zip file or some other sort of archive file and make that password protected. I use 7-zip cause it's much faster than Windows and has many formats to choose from. http://download.cnet.com/7-Zip/3000-225 ... ?tag=mncol

Right click the file you want to protect. In the context menu go to 7-Zip Select "Add to Archive" In the box that pops up, you should see a "password" field near the bottom right Enter your password and away you go Once the file finishes compressing, you can add more files to the archive if you'd like. Just double click to open it and then drag and drop anything you want to add to it.

Took the words right out of my mouth. BTW Tid if you don't want to download 7-zip you can always use the Zip folders that windows has. Right-click anywhere and create a new zip folder. Go to file and select add a password. Follow the directions and then drag your files in. You could have put your files in at the very beginning to.
