i'm with you on "don't judge your main based on a tier list". don't look at just tiers if you want to play casually but i mean, i wouldn't suggest entering any tournament and playing Robin.
you can easily judge a character based on a tier list (just don't follow it religiously lmao)


also ZeRo had a tier list of sorts going but unfortunately that patch probably threw some stuff off like buffing Luigi for some hilarious reason

Well I am sorry I didn't base that on tier by the way but Falco and robin and also jigglypuff somewhat are characters that are perfect examples of characters that are and empty slot of the character select screen for the sher fact that they are that terrible in smash 4

Get off your high horse. Talking about which characters are good and not. There's no official tier list. People can lose to any character and any character can be played at a competitive level.

All because someone loses to a certain character, that doesn't make them bad at the entire game. smh.

Not necessarily true.
Your attitude to this game is evidently "If I pick a "top tier", I get an Insta-win". The game doesn't work like that. People may have differing skill levels. If I pick Sheik and go into For Glory. I will not win every match because I'm Sheik.

Also, losing to a garbage character doesn't mean you are bad. It means two things:
1) You need to learn the matchup
2) Your opponent knows what they're doing.

you are still admitting that the character is bad though which is my point. A person can't suck if they use some character that is so bad that there not even usable in the slightest.

Just to be clear, winning, and consistently winning are two different things. Generally smash is all about your personal skill, yes tiers are a thing, but if you dedicate enough time to a character you can win consistently with them. Nairo uses Robin and seems to do fairly well in tournaments from what i've seen.

Character matchups exist too.

Tournament players are dumb as s*** "wow look at me I use Fox in Melee I'M SO GOOD AT THIS GAME"

Nobody wants to be interesting, nobody wants to challenge themselves. Everyone just has a boring as f*** desire to be "the best". When it stops being about the game and starts being about the people playing it, who even cares? Watch competitive rock-paper-scissors instead.
