I say there should be a section for unmonitored spam, which everyone can go to (obviously including the same filtering process as the current spam section).
The section we have now, while it's dubbed "Spam" is really the second closest thing we have to "Logical Debate".
An even better thing I reckon, would be to reintroduce the LD section. It can't be deader than the RP one, and it's still running.

Ho hum! I apologize for the erratic sizing in the paragraphs, but I usually only break when there's a new thought to be had nowadays~
Spam V1 was created to shoo idiocy under the carpet- the administration realized pretty quick that it was encouraging stupidity, not trapping it. Since the staff couldn't trust the users with the ability to start discussing whatever they'd like with almost no restriction-no pornography or anything of that sort!--, they locked it away. If we had any of those archivist types here, you'd know that it was bad. It was baaaaad! Since none of the more educated users of this fair fora wanted anything to do with it, it devolved into Forum Games in its' pre-moderation days- any sort of gem in all that rough and tumble would become ultimately worthless because of bad posters. So! the administration decided to make things a bit more restricted-perhaps too restricted!- by "electing" a moderator, one who would act as a filter- keeping those without the ability to construct basic, coherent sentences out of an otherwise fantastical niche of the fora! I will admit that, at first, Blue was far too picky with who he let in-not to mention he played favorites!--, but later he lowered his expectations appropriately. If there was a milestone you had to overcome to get in-other than the initial test!--, we would not have the newer additions such as Zenetos. You're exaggerating things horribly, not to mention making the majority of the fora even more fearful of taking the test in the first place!
I will readily admit, this is a subject I am terribly biased on. Spam is dear to my heart, as without it there would be no pull to keep me here, nor would I have met such wonderful characters- ones who would likely suffer the same fate as I without it, leaving but the administration and their prepubescent masses. I have seen such a tragedy happen before, though the veterans did not fade due to intolerance, but to acceptance. There will always be a next generation beyond your time- the old will find they have little to hang on to anymore, now that they have grown up and lost interest in what previously made them so wonderfully ecstatic. Change ushers in with the new blood, taking place wherever it may reach and never letting go- not until it yields to the next project, the yet newer generation. One tiny nook is all the consolation is all that's necessary to keep weaving that old social web- why tear it down now? What is there to gain, especially when most are allowed to join us?
Another thing, while we're on the subject. Blue either needs to shape up or be relieved of his duties. He has begun to make terrible choices- ones for his own s****, as he has admitted several times! I fear he will only tire of his position even further, do even worse things. If this is not the case, Blue, correct me by all means~
In summary, there's very little to be gained from ceasing the usergroup's existence that I can think of- if idiocy will persist outside a moderated spam, it will only breed in a place it can't be hindered.

Hey if you can't take the time to read it maybe you shouldn't be arguing for the removal of the Spam usergroup.

I could be down with a Spam Section labelled as such, and within it a restricted subforum known as /mg/.

Why can't we have VIP V.2.0, and rename Other, Spam.

I am supporting Kyzak in this argument, though I am not biased on the subject even though he spoke of me in a pleasant light. From what I saw when reading older posts of this website and my experience on prior forum sites I have to agree that any section with completely no restrictions inspires idiocy. Even forum games are under certain rules to keep it under control, such as the rules of the games themselves and moderators who are watching them[ I can attest that moderators do in fact check the forum games since I have seen ones on this very site be locked before they could be picked up]. Also on my prior website, in which the administrator actually quit and there were only two unreliable moderators, had nearly every section devolve into off-topic, spam, trolling, and otherwise negative posts. That is one good example how un-controled entrance in a area with little moderation can breed bad-posts. Similarly I find that even Spam with its current lack moderation has several topics that are unconstructive[both in the value of comedy and serious thought] and I can only imagine how much worse it would be with an unfiltered access to it. Now that I established how lack of “guidelines” in a section can breed all these negative postings as Kyzak put it; I will now talk about why the current filtering is good enough for its purposes. I do not know how the filtering for new members were before hand, but I can attest the current one does have its value. When I myself first applied I was less immature then I normally was to in an attempt to make Blue laugh as was in Blue’s challenge, apparently I tired to hard to make Blue laugh since Blue said there were already to many people who lacked maturity in Spam and no more were needed. In reply I addressed this concern and showed more of my personality which had me accepted. My point is we currently do have some level of filtering to keep out those who are to immature to be in Spam, and if we didn’t then Spam So I encourage keeping Spam the way it is and if those who aren’t in spam wish to discuss as if they were in Spam then they should take their conversations to the Other section. Since if they were rejected from Spam perhaps they just aren’t prepared for it. Also I reject 4chan in every shape and form

I've been against the spam section for a long time now, should be removed.
It's the f*** spam section for God's sake, there shouldn't be any "filter." it's spam. That's what it is. There really isn't any reason to allow some people to flood s*** with moronic posts that make me want to rip my eyeballs from my head and not others.

I say let you be in Spam until you prove yourself horribly unable to bear it... and should wait at least ten posts before you decide that right? Being no bias towards a user for how they act in the past... or on other parts of the forum. I am however Biased towards making SPam free to all because I have not gotten Blue to laugh... I was confused and stupid, I should've apologized then for hurting Blue's feelings, not wait until now.
