There's one thing I don't understand about Tabuu on Intense; If he 1-hit kills anyway on easy, does he just attack more often on Intense?

It largely depends on where you fight him, in SSE his attacks are VERY powerful, and in fact most are 1 hit kills on Hard, Very Hard, and Intense (Off Waves insta-kill on normal upwards).

If fought in Boss Battles, he's easier, most notable that his attacks mostly 1 hit kill on Very Hard and Intense only, depending on your damage. Its not so hard to beat him in Boss Battles, but in SSE its harder to beat him (in one stock anyway, as you have 6 here).

But also realize guys, that he said "without taking damage" which is MUCH harder than just beating him.

He says without getting hit because if you get hit by Tabuu on intense, you're dead.
I've fought harder than Tabuu. Giga Bowser was harder than Tabuu. ..Metal Mario was easy. If anything, Duon's the hardest boss of SSE.

I say Porky, because of that lightning attack when it flies upwards, is almost impossible to dodge when the boss has low health, as it does the attack 3 times, the third time is VERY accurate.

Actually getting hit by Tabuu on Intense doesnt necessarily mean you will die, it depends on both which attack you got hit by, and how much damage you had when you were hit. His Bullet Rain (only final shot can OHKO), Clone Attack, Eye Lasers, and Slash Combo attacks (only last hit can OHKO) dont OHKO, granted some of those still have high knockback, but they will never OHKO you.

Duon is made incredibly easy provided you know what you're doing, in fact the only attack i frequently get hit by is his homing missiles. I dont bother with trying to get them to hit the boss, as i end up getting hit in the process, so i just lead them off the screen while trying to avoid them.

Porky on the other hand has a lot of OHKOs: Dashing across the screen, Jumping, Laser, Lightning Attacks, and the final hit of its slash combo.

Porky was easy to read as hell.
In fact, I've never been killed by Porky in any of my intense boss battle runs.

Well, yes, I'm well aware of this, but it's still the same attack, with multiple hits. They're the only attacks where he doesn't 1-hit kill you.

By the way, does anyone know what Tabuu's teleportation serves? The one without the red explosions? It's just leaving him wide open.

Thats likely a reference to the final bosses in the Kirby series, as many of them teleport like that.

Actually it does serve the purpose of making him hard to hit during the teleporting since he disappears so quickly. He's just open after he reappears the last time, which is usually not long before he attacks, again a reference to the Kirby series final bosses.

But even then, it's not like, offensive or anything. Why use that when there's also the attack with the red explosions?

Where exactly did they get the idea of "Tabuu"? Sure the teleporting thing comes from Kirby final bosses, but his other attacks? Eye Lazers, clone attack, his lasso thing that grabs you and then throws you to the ground, which almost OHKOs you every time...and don't even get me started on his attack that fires three times and while he's doing that, he has this butterfly-shaped rainbow coloring around him (that attack is actually easy to dodge, but still). Where does it all come from?

How to make movesets for SSB bosses:
Make a dartboard
Put random attack names on there, no matter how different they are
Throw a few darts at it

Tabuu got butterfly wings, dragon laser thingy, whip, heat vision, and Chaos Control.

Or, have an imagination and tie it together with symbolism to create an enigmatic final boss. Sorta like what brawl did. I admit SSE had it's flaws but Tabuu had great design considering what they were working with.

I really don't see the symbolism in SSBB. Shadow bugs with man that looks like a virus that is part Superman with heat vision.

Because they wanted him to do something while not attacking, most other bosses just sit there until they do their next attack. Again, it serves to make him harder to hit.

Even though he is open after it ends, Tabuu spends less time just sitting in one spot unlike the other bosses. The explosive teleporting is likely meant to catch you off guard since the teleporting is normally harmless.
