What do the devs think of Piranha Plant? Would you consider something like this as a character in SSF2?

I mean Sandbag is right there. I can't really speak for the rest of the dev team on what they think of certain additions to the roster of the official titles but I personally enjoy characters where you can see that Sakurai is challenging himself. So, Mega Man was adapted with his resprite to resemble his Smash 4 moveset. Was the canonical version of him the impetus for the resprite, or was the resprite (since the original sprites were modified officials) a justification to retool the character to canon?
I ask because I wonder how Ultimate affects the eventual decisions regarding characters like Simon and any characters that end up getting added in the DLC run if they overlap with Flash 2's roster of newcomers. Man, it just struck me that Flash 2's been in development long enough to face 2 eras of canon games... (not a complaint, of course, just amazing how far this ride has taken us, and I'm not meaning to indicate that either direction is preferable to the other on that second question) |

Flame and flame base attacks exist in SSF2 but does darkness exist in SSF2 even though no charicter in the current roster can cause it? Like is it in the games code?

Have you considered putting indie characters in the game (like Shantae, Hollow Knight, and Sans)?
