Rana's eyes bleckened. "You are a liar. Nothing is predestined, but nothing can happen that is not bound to happen. You do not see all." Rana looked from the man's hands to the man's feet, then to his own feet. "You mean Tania..."

"As I said before. I only warn you. As it is my duty. Now I leave you with this." The robed man said, there was a sudden thud, on the ground before Rana lay a crown. "A master crown. Use it wisely. On yourself or someone else worthy. Your choice." He turned around and began to walk away. "Also, in about thirty seconds, a man named Bruno will be coming through, try not to bump into him."

Rana reached down slowly and touched the crown. It was beautiful and strange. His fingers slid around it, but as he lifted he found it was heavy. Wisps of shadows drifted lazily underneath it, helping his weak hands. The crown slid into his robe efore Rana suddenly stood up, nearly tripping over his own momentum. "Who are you?" He asked bitterly. His voice was quiet, but cold and angry. The man not only knew what Rana was but had threatened Tania; not to mention his silly game playing. The air around Rana quivered with his annoyance.

Serene wrapped her arms around Eton's waist. She looked up at his face, asking sincerely without speaking a word. She felt the lust for him, and she wished it would be filled. "Eton..." she muttered, tightening her grip upon his waist.

J tightened his grip one last time on the bandit's neck, crushing the windpipe easily. He threw the body to his side and pulled his mallet to him. "Ruining my fun, eh old man?" he asked, jokingly menacing. "I haven't been in a good brawl for some time, I just wanted to stretch out before I continue." He let out another roaring chuckle, continuing towards the wagon.

Anna blinked, surprised marked upon her face. "You haven't gotten any rest?" she asked again with worry leaking into her voice. She was astonished at the stamina that Tekun had but she was worried that he'd keel over any moment. "Tekun you need to rest, w-what if something happens again...and you've barely rested since you've come here...." she ushered him into the room drawing him towards the bed. "You can rest here, and I'll go to the library to read or stay in the chair over there" she pointed to the chair positioned in a corner where light came through the window. "If you need company"

Eton looked at Serene and closed his eyes. He thought for a moment. "Is this right." He mumbled to her. He wasn't sure if this was right at all, if this was what he wanted, what she really wanted. It had only been five days, yet he was so attached, how much they had been through.

The man stated simply.

"No one important." As he left the room. Out through the same door walked a large well built man, who looked a bit dim witted, he headed towards Rana direction, in almost a bit of a rush. There looked like there was a good chance of him running into Rana.

"Pfff." The old man said urging the horses to move onward as J and Lot approached the wagon leaving the brigands where they lay. "Good work out. You lucked out." Lot muttered tending to his wounds. All of them went for me first. Gave you a bit of a break."

Tekun felt kinda forced into the room by the worried monk. "Anna, it's ok." Tekun muttered. "I'm more worried for everyone else. Too much has happened so far, and there's finally a breather." He crossed his arms. "How about you, are you alright?"

"It feels right for me..." Serene muttered back to him. "...I love you, remember?" She was ready for whatever was to come next, she felt safe and cozy next to Eton, her head snugged up to his body. She wanted to be with him forever in this position, she felt truly calm here, truly serene.

J wiped the blood from his mallet and swung it over his shoulder. He walked almost alongside Lot as they neared the wagon. "Yeah, it was a good warm up." he began. "Though I wish they didn't all try to attack you, I was hoping for more action than that."

"I'm fine" said Anna "But...what good will you be worrying about others if you're too tired to help them when they need it" she said. Her expression of worry still on her face "Please Tekun" she said softly but sternly, "Everyone is fine for now...get your rest while you can"

Rana stared at the man rushing in his direction. He held out his hand to say stop. Was this the man who would try and kill Tania? Rana looked silly there, arm out to yield a man easily two feet taller and two hundred pounds heavier.

"Those particular melodies are plus fort. Being able to help your allies in difficile situations is the only thing you need to be able to do. But I suppose it cannot be helped. And monsieur Lex does enjoy my company, right? I would not be a burden?" She said in a submissive way.

Lex perked up and ran straight over to Adélaïde and grabbed her hand, kissing it lightly. "My dear, adding yet another beautiful lady to our band of rag-tag survivors would be utterly delightful!"

She laughed and patted him on the head. "Yes, ok then. I think I will go with you. As long as monsieur Lex does whatever Violet asks of him for the rest of the day." She giggled and moved Violet in front of Lex as he bowed before her.

"Princess Violet, your wish is my command. I am but a humble servant, however I have many talents. Not just for fighting, either. I can... satisfy you curiosities, too." He smiled and winked.

Eton closed his eyes and still thought, he realized that they may die before they reach the next inn, or the mainland. He held her close. He loved her too, but thought it may be too soon. "Let's.....go." He muttered.

The man continued towards Rana who held his hand out. "Outta teh way!" He said in a very rough, almost scottish accent and shoved Rana to the side and knocked him over, he stumbled into a table and fell over, the back of his head cracking against a wooden wall and knocking over the table, the heavy thing landed on his arm. There was a cracking sound. "Bruno! Watch whatta f*** your doing!" The innkeeper said. "Get that man a cleric." He said pointing at Rana who was on the ground now. A man came rushing out with a stave to treat the man.

Tekun nodded. "Alright." He said finally agreeing. "Let Tania know that i'm resting up here, if you would."

"I hope he's not implying something." Leon thought as he crossed his arm and approached. "Welcome aboard." He said to Adélaïde. "Also, forgive my attack on you before." He said appologizing out of principle.

"No, no it is quite alright. I deserve it for being so... well, it could be called rudeness to you?" She hugged Leon and made a certain pose. "Right, Mr. Leon?" If a maid's outfit was put under her smile, she would have easily resembled someone he had just known. Her name was so easily forgettable, but it was probably still floating around in his head.

Violet smiled for the first time in what felt like ages, Adélaïde was joining them, she felt happy that another person was joining them, but she couldn't help but remember that man she had met all those days ago. She brushed the thought away and looked down at Lex as he bowed before her.

"Princess Violet, your wish is my command. I am but a humble servant, however I have many talents. Not just for fighting, either. I can... satisfy you curiosities, too." He smiled and winked.

She blinked and thought to herself "My curiosities?" she wondered to herself, an imaginary light bulb flashed above her head, thinking she understood what curiosities he was alluding to. "Well..."she began "I've been wondering what happened to that strange little man we saw earlier" she said.

Anna nodded, content with Tekun finally getting some rest. She left the room silently closing the door slowly behind her and walking down the stairs towards the main lobby. As she walked into the room, she saw a horrible chain of events as the man, was bumped by an impatient man and crashed into a series of things. She gasped and ran into the room as someone called for a Cleric.

Tania heard a large crash come from inside the lobby, Windy's head perked up, and flapped her wings. "Shh Windy, calm down," she said as she patted the pegasus' head. She left Windy's side after giving her an apple to help calm her nerves and went back into the lobby of the inn. She gasped at the scene and ran over to Rana's side, she saw Anna from the corner of her eyes but she didn't really care about her. She knelt beside Rana, she was almost to tears at the sight, she wanted to move the table from his arm but there was a possibility that his arm was broken by the way the his arm looked, and she didn't want to cause him anymore pain than he had already endured.

Rana's eyes opened slowly. Everything was blurry and strange. Bruno's blow had knocked him out and he could barely feel anything. He lifted his head and felt pressure on his arm. He turned to see the massive table pinning it down. It was clearly broken. His eyes widened and he tried pulling on his arm, but only twitched violently, his back arching against the table. There were people running towards him. Tania. A man with a stave.

Suddenly he was somewhere else, the world composed of his beloved, freezing shadows. Tekun and Anna, talking. Everything melted. Soldiers marching. Everything melted. The rotting body of a dragon, scarred by unnatural void. Again everything melted and was replaced by a great, terrifying man entirely covered in strange armor. Rana wasn't sure if it even was a man. Snow and ice whipped around the figure fiercely, then it vanished.

Rana's body convulsed again. His eyes refocused. He saw Tania there with him, looking terrified. His eyes glazed over as he began to feel the pain. The blow had certainly damaged his head, he knew, as more images flashed though his mind. "Don't worry." He tried to whisper, but he was so dizzy he wasn't sure if he had said a thing.
