Place him on a more neutral background color please. Also, the wooden body under the clothing should be shaded darker. I also think there's an unnecessary 3rd shade in your colors. There's a little readability issue with his face and it can easily be solved if you removed the 3rd unnecessary shade all the colors are sharing and if you increased the contrast a bit. Can't edit it sorry. Hope it helps

You my friend, are guilty of the heinous crime of... dare I say it... banding.
There are a lot of pixel placements I don't understand, such as that light one on the left side of the left strand of hair. Also, don't shade your outlines exactly at the same pixel that you shade the rest of the object, especially on round ones where the shading curve should continue. (Ex: Top of hat) As Suzy touched on, you have some palette problems too. Most of them can be easily solved by dithering and cleverer colour choices though. You may actually want to consider adding some lighter, yellower blue colours though. May I edit as well? _________________  |
