I was only nervous when the set was even, and that nervousness turned into confidence when I started pulling away with Zero Suit Samus.
The desync doesn't matter. I still won.
My playstyle is based around using a lot of characters, and using the right character for the job, even if the MU is bad. I just played the same way I always do and it paid off.

Here's the kicker: A sort of "omen" to the outcome of this Salty Suite can be seen by looking at the main event pools. I made it into Brax but Corvid did not.

Next time you do pools, are you gonna put the 1/2, 3/4, 5/6... seeds into the same pools again? Because I'd rather not have to fight Blaze in round 1 again if I do well. kthxbai

I seed solely on the number that the outcome ends at, so if it's 4 -> 2, then yes it will happen again. If it's 4 -> 1, then seeding will change accordingly, same with other pool sizes such as 4 -> 3 and 6 -> 2

Are you considering banning super laggy players? those that shall not be named or atleast making region locked tournies

I don't wish to exclude anybody from any event simply because their internet connection is below average. That would almost be equivalent to banning players from local events simply because their skill level is below average.

I don't save replays when live. Never have, never will most likely. I blame the ThinkPad.

Nahhh those are 2 much different things. Lag effects both players abilities to play the game. Skill effects one persons ability to get trashed.

Definitely would not have left the community, like many people predict. I would have probably not been a prominent figurehead anymore but I still do have obligations, with what being the SSF2 representative for Hypest Tournaments, as well as the primary livestreamer for tournament events. As for the X Tournament Series, as I mentioned on a few occasions, I would have moved it to a different game entirely--Brawl Minus. Probably under a different name. Although I really can't think of any name cooler than X Tournament Series right now.

Marth-Zelda is easily one of Zelda's hardest matchups. It basically boils down to who can space better, and that easily would go to Marth. Marth has both ground and air spacing tools that are effective, whilst Zelda's spaciest moves are her forward-air and back-air. Not sweetspotted. Yeah.... This matchup is an uphill battle for Zelda, and is the primary reason why I'm 1-62 against competitive Marths as Zelda. +2

Marth-Sheik is easier to manage, as now it's not a game of spacing but who can get in first. Marth is great in the spacing department as I mentioned before. But unlike Zelda, Sheik has the speed to make up for such range. And because autocombos combos come easy for each character. +0

And for those s*** on me because skill that was a bad analogy that I probably should have never made because local events are basically the same as online events but with the removal of lag caused by internet connections.

The point I was trying to make is that I would never deny any player entry into any event simply because their internet connection is crap. That would turn away a lot of new players because their connection might not be up to the arbitrary standard I would have implemented had I done such a thing. We have rules put in to decide outcomes if a connection is unplayable instead. Simply put: if you don't like it, don't play.
