It's not that they ignored those characters, it's that they were a new studio developing an untested IP. And their IP somewhat relied on other IPs Sony doesn't own.

Cloud, Snake, Crash, Spyro, and [Resident Evil character, I haven't even played those games] were the biggest characters on PS1, and Sony owns exactly none of them. It would've been impossible to get them all from the start (especially with Activision owning Crash and Spyro), and honestly I'd say they're lucky Konami and Capcom "compromised" enough to give them any characters at all (even if one of those happens to be the worst part of the roster). Superbot was just too small, and the game was too much of a risk.

Well I realize its hard to get characters but I'm just saying it would help the game out tremendously.

Yes.
Before they had said they were working on DLC costumes(When really they were already in the game) and like 5 months later we still never got it.
And fans kept b**** on there Twitter for the costumes to be released, so what I am saying is that they try to give us false hope that they will be doing things for the game when most likely all they will do is keep the servers alive.

To be honest, I think this game should just be allowed to die. It was fun for a while bit ultimately the game's design is really flawed. Superbot Entertainement didn't feature the immense skill, expierence or funding required to make a game that could possible rival Smash Bros. Sony should have known this really.

I think that once the PS4 has been around the corner for a while, the game should be given a nice reboot, this time with a more seasoned developer like Naughty Dog. .

I see 2014-the next foreseeable years being me talking my friends into a round or two of All-Stars for nostalgia, and then us all getting bored and just playing Smash Bros. Kerfuffle for the rest of the day.

We still have Zeus and Issac's DLC costumes... and there are already inside the game yet SSM won't release it on PSN yet the costumes are playable through a glitch.

No, it's not.

Even if it was actually a good game, it still wouldn't be.

You can get it much cheaper by buying a physical copy.
