I say - why not?
You say - It is not allowed online competitively.
I say - neither is smashville, battlefield, yoshi's story, wario ware, pokemon stadium etc. (all of which are allowed competitively...)
The point - it doesn't matter what is *not* allowed online competitively as of now

Um... I never said to purposefully make it non-competitive. For a game is only competitive if you make it that way. Smash has aways been a party game in his eyes, but with this game he's keeping the competitive community in mind as he's making it. Clearly he's not making it non-competitive on purpose. Yes casual players will play it regardless, but that doesn't mean you can forget about them either. The point is, it has to be a game to appeal to both crowds. If people who complain about the game are saying it sucks then that's their own problem, not the creator and that shouldn't be something for them to straight-up say to his face like that guy that the game needed balancing. I love playing smash competitively, hell melee is my favorite one, but complaining is doing nothing and it only makes you look like an utter fool to other people, especially Sakurai as heard by his response to that guy.

I wonder how his intro is going to work when he has the pink sweatshirt on? Is he just going to come on and not take it off or he is going to come, take it off and reveal another pink sweatshirt underneath?

Maybe he'll have a different entrance when using that costume.
