Homing Attack can kill because it has somewhat decent range and Sonic is high in the air so he can't be hit by ground attacks, which is a plus. B-Air has some pretty decent knock back range and a good edge-guarding tool for experienced players. Also, F-Smash has INSANE power at full charge, enough to knock your opponent of the stage, and if at high damage, wipe the opponent off the screen.

Didn't you hear what i said? FSmash and Homing Attack are too predictable to work. Also good luck trying to recover from an edgeguard.

"Once again your faith is misplaced." (Sean Bean) Homing Attack can follow the opponent. Also, F-Smash, like I said before, has insane power, and also has decent knockback range!

If you attack while sonic is in the ball his attack doesn't hurt you lol. And if an attack is slow it is easy to dodge.

First of all, no self-respecting player would use a fully charged smash attack in neutral unless your opponent has an IQ below 70. And almost any smash attack can wipe your opponent off the screen if you charge it long enough. I do agree what you said about b-air though.

down-b is good for neutral and can true combo into aerials

so is up-b, for gimps and is kinda safe cuz he can do aerials out of it

Okay, first things first, Simon, Krystal and Rayman should not be ranked. We do not know what the state of the metagame for the next update is, so they don't belong here.

Second of all, rather than trying to explain what's wrong with this list, I'm trying to look for placings that might be coming close to accurate, so I'll organise it by tier only.

Top Tier:
- This is appalling. Having Goku as Top 4 is legitimately stupid considering he's weak, has an awful neutral and a really s*** recovery - Worst character in the game imho. Ichigo is high tier and Falcon is low high tier. So far you have one accurate placing in this list which is Meta Knight as the best character. Well done. 1/4

Very High Tier:
- Yuck. I'll give you a half point because Falco and Luigi are ranked very high (they should really be top tbh). Lloyd and Marth are both mid tier, Mario, Pikachu, and ZSS are placed somewhat correctly but a bit too high. Other than that, every other character is placed too high. Naruto is mid and Isaac is low tier. 3/13

High Tier:
- Black Mage doesn't belong that high in any vanilla version of SSF2 Beta. I don't get how you put him that high. This is probably the best tier you've got as I'd consider Zelda and Kirby to be high tier. That's okay. Sheik and Chibi are vastly underrated and Luffy and DK high tier at a stretch so that's something. I'll give you 3 points for that. 6/20

Mid Tier:
- I'd honestly say the only characters that could belong here are Wario and Tails. Bar Link, everyone else is too high. 2 half points. 7/28

Low Tier:
- You've got a point for Bomberman. Absolutely a low tier character. Solid job. Unfortunately everyone else is way too low. PAC-MAN is top 5, Samus and Bowser are high tier whilst Ness and Sora are on the border of mid and high tier. 8/34.

Very Low Tier:
- Bad. Bad. Bad. Bad. Bad. Sandbag honestly is better than most give him credit for and belongs in the tier above at worst. Yoshi is low mid tier, Pit's high tier and Peach is top 3. 8/38

Bottom Tier:
- And we have one correct character and one horrendously incorrect character. Pichu is the only 100% accurate placing alongside Meta Knight that you have. 9/40.

So, in conclusion, we have the following:

5 accurate placings, and a bunch of placings where I give you way too much extra credit for being sort of correct.

TL;DR - This tier list is abysmal. Like, it's not even close to being accurate.


Not much to say on Dust's aside from minor nitpicks. Luffy's too low, Sandbag and Sonic should swap, Lloyd > Mega Man and Yoshi, Sora to C and Marth to B- at a minimum.

As for Sonic. He's got poor range, no real kill confirms, no real way to deal with projectiles, a pretty mediocre recovery and no real way to deal with disjoints. Man just suffers from having everything you don't want in the meta.

I've fought you. You're a great Bomberman. But he's still not a very good character. I'd say mid-low tier, not because he's necessarily bad, but everyone else is just better.
