Ok, about to start Winners Finals and Losers Quarters. This is the first regular Singles tournament where Bomberman is out of the top 6, so that's interesting. Ness is looking very threatening, having come back all the way from losers after his loss to Black Mage. Zelda also seems like someone who is slowly realizing the potential that she has shown in other metagames.

Decided to finish everything up. Jiggs wins after a 2-0 bracket reset from Black Mage! Also another new landmark with someone outside of the current Top 5 getting into the Top 3 (Link). This tournament was pretty fun, though I think that we will test a Jiggs ban in CPU Singles 6.

EDIT: Just wanted to give a little update since round 1 finally finished. There were already some super hype sets and moments and Turbo Mode is definitely coming into its own this tournament. Falcon vs Fox was the hypest and most intense set so far and moments like Sonic using D-air -> sweetspot Side B offstage against Black Mage (10/10 style points, but I never saved the replay in the hype ;_;) and this juggle from Yoshi (who got the F-smash kill about 2 seconds later) were great.

Round 2 and Losers Round 1 and 2 should be in the next post. I attached the replays for Round 1 on this post.

Round 2 and Losers Rounds 1-2 are complete (if you didn't see the edit to my post above, completed Round 1 a couple days ago, which was great). More tense sets came out of these rounds especially Fox vs Black Mage and Tails vs Zelda in Winners Round 2. Winners Quarters and Losers Rounds 3-4 should be next.

EDIT: Peach pulls out a beam sword and takes a game off Jiggs without even using it. What a time to be alive.

We're in Top 8 now! Replays for the last 3 rounds are attached to this post as usual Pretty interesting results so far. Fox, Peach, Zelda and Yoshi have been created some intense matches to watch!

With bracket predictions, I've started to come back and am in the lead by a point, though badcon has one more correct pick over me. Yoshiblaze isn't far behind, though he can't win over badcon at this point since his top 4 is the same.

Finished Winners Semis, Losers Round 5 and Losers Quarters, as well as Losers Semis. The top 4 characters are the same as for last Turbo tournament. Badcon has pretty much won with bracket predictions at this point. It's just a question of by how much now.

I also find it kind of weird that the only character Bomberman didn't go to Game 3 with for this tournament was Fox, one of the harder opponents he had to face.

The replays for the 4 rounds are attached (put Loser Quarters and Semis together in one .zip folder) and the Finals matches will be next. Still need to decide on what format the next tournament will be.

Sorry for the delay of the results. Jiggs beats Bomber 2-1 in Grands and Ness settles for 3rd, getting his highest placement in a Singles tournament so far. Badcon won the prediction war as expected. Congrats

Oh man, all brackets destroyed! The Ichi + Chibi combo pull off the ultimate upset and 2-0 balloon and magic man! I guess we all slept on these two. I know I did.

At least my bracket is safe-ish for now since I said that Tails and Zelda would win teehee

Winners Semis and Losers Rounds 2-3 are done now. The prediction competition has been won as well, with badcon making a clutch prediction with Bomberchu over Tailda in Winners Semis! He only won by 2 points over me and we had the same number of correct picks. Good job sir.

We'll continue with Losers Quarters and Semis, then all the Finals matches (with replays for the Finals matches put into a single zipped folder so I don't have to post twice). I think that we will do regular Singles next tournament, but with Jiggs banned this time around.

So Pikachu and Bomberman take the win in Winners Finals or will Ichigo and Chibi continue their surprise killing spree in Winners?

Wow, I didn't realize light mode destroys brackets. At least bomberchu pulled it out for me. But seriously, I won at semis... With less than 15 as a score... Man predictions got destroyed

So wins in Winners and Grand Finals 2-1 against ! This is Bomberman's second win in Turbo Light Doubles. This makes sense because of his access to a quick, strong u-air, a recovery that goes insanely far in Light mode, and just general strength. By results so far, this is looking like the only metagame where Black Mage and Jigglypuff are not top tiers so far. We can't make the conclusion too soon though, since Doubles results are very volatile, especially in Light mode when characters can die so early.
