Well I have noticed on occasion that some combos can be lethal if you follow it up with a quick attack to get behind your opponent, then quickly doing a thunder before the camera can even show pikachu's location. Though I wouldn't try spamming this particular combo finisher.

Pikachu's D-tilt has less cooldown now. Yay. I guess....

Pikachus Dtilt is actually a pretty good move now, since you can buffer stuff from it, like grab. Dtilt > grab is something i gotta use a bit more.

Mario got too much of a size reduction in my opinion lmfaoo he's the same height as jigglypuff.

I'm pretty sure Pika got bigger too, he's like original Pokemon pikachu size XD

Then this means my assumption that Pika's new size upped his combo game was wrong. He really is a lot better this time around!

Pika needs a Mini Mushroom or somethin'....

It could be a double edge sword, less range for being a smaller target.

Pikachu is decent imo both offline and online, and his new thunder mechanic feels actually way better than it was than its 9a counterpart, to me at least.
the thunder (spike) ((idk else what to call it)) works really often against the players I faced online, just try to time it well and also don't forget to get back safely, D-smash > Thunder off stage is an example, as d-smash has good horizontal knock-back. Pikachu's grabs and aerials have such good combo ability to rack up damage, what I try sometimes is to lure opponents with thunder jolt and then punish with nair or dair, for killing I use side smash or dair edgeguards mostly, also you should try to make use of pikachu's speed, dash dancing and all that jazz

Pikachu's recovery is soo good, you can come back save really often becouse it has many direction options though I messed up a lot of quick attacks early on, becouse I try to always flash to the edge to prevent punishes, so i'd advise to people who are trying him, practise a bit on training mode with his recovery and try to get back to the edge at as many different angles as possible

I really lovee using Pika in doubles btw, went p. well in some matches I did.

yoo I am by no means a smash expert or anything so some things I mentioned could be incorrect.

After playing Auraka's Pika, I picked him up and use him all the time. Probably my favorite along with Sheik.

This, Playing against characters that have large startup on recoveries is a joke.

People saying Pika was nerfed hard have me confused. Was he seriously better than he is now? I didn't start playing until this current version, so I don't know.

He only has slight nerfs like longer start up/lag on his projectile, a slower side smash, and recovery lag. But of the top 3 S tier from 9a he recieved the least nerfs.
