Well, I dunno about you, but when I buy a game, I like to think that the price I paid is all, or at least almost all, I will need to spend on the game. Completing everything in games can be fun too assuming you don't pay 2x the amount in DLC.
Everyone gets their panties in a knot when Capcom locks content on a disk. They are bad for ripping off their fans. Those terrible people. How dare they release an expansion.
Assuming Hyperdimension Neptunia's DLC isn't buying a new game entirely, it's like spending $100 more for UMvC3... but you have to get the original game first on top of that.

Whether $100 of DLC is acceptable is entirely contextual

If it's $100 of s*** that's already on the disc/released day one/could've easily been on the disc otherwise, THAT'S unjustifiable.

If none of it was on the disc, it adds to the original game, and it's all optional (as in not required to fully complete the game or understand the story), then that's just fine.

"You don't have to buy it if you don't like it" does not excuse s*** business practices.

Although it's optional content, if I played and enjoyed HN from day one, then learned about its huge amount of DLC, I would have probably rather have waited for them to add the costumes to be actually in the game rather than pay $100. I mean, $100 is a lot for DLC.

Cheap, artificial, and completely aesthetic diversity. Doesn't do jack s*** regarding actual plot or gameplay, unless the cute outfits actually have special effects when equipped.
