Serene walked away and sat down. "I need to calm down, I'm letting rage blinding me. Rage doesn't help you in battle, it only stops you from being able to fight as well as you could." she muttered "At least, that's what I think my mother said. It could be different, but, I'll just go with what I remember best..." Serene kept muttering more things, but they were mostly unintelligble

She'd step up from where she had sat, arms crossing, walking over to where the boy lay and Eton stood in ponder. "When do we shove off? the sooner the better, im not sure how long i feel like being in the presence of this hound of the Black Horizon." her vengeful gaze never left the boy; knowing not he was the last survivor of their ranks, not that she'd care much either way. His people had ruined her way of life, and she was one with grudges lain bare.

"I don't know." Eton said. "We....can't just leave him there.....look at him.....I....I really can't get it around my mind, someone so young, among them..." He continued to look at the ground in thought.

"I wish I could mind speak" said Tania longingly "It would be so much fun, especially if you were mind speaking back and forth with someone else completely unaware" she laughed cheerfully at the image she conjured up in her head. She imagined herself talking to her best friend from her about things her father would deem unladylike. "So..." she paused afraid of what the answer would be "Are you going to be staying with us? I know you just met us but you seem nice and poor Eton is surrounded by girls. He might want some male company..." she chuckled "But I guess you'll probably want to go."

Barbas continued to wander around the room, reflecting on what he did in the day. He seemed to do this each night, as if he was checking for something he missed. "That huge sword might have come in handy.." He stated, speaking to himself. "I should have found a way to carry it.." He shrugged, as he got into the bed for a nights sleep.



Several times, Barbas had gotten up from the bed, and thought of the demon and his overly huge sword. "I wonder if he's still alive.." said Barbas, looking at the ceiling. "An arrow to the eye couldn't kill him, I doubt that would have..." He closed his eyes, preparing to sleep. Awaiting the morning when he was free to move around once more.

"My medicine should do fine, if not, than may the gods reap his soul into damnation." She stated coldly, eyeing him. "And i shan't to think what might happen if we're forced to camp out for the night in these lands, would it not be better to arrive at the mountains at least before the sun sets?"

"We won't arrive before sun set." Eton said and then walked away a little. "I'm sorry. I need a little time to myself." He said and walked over near the tree and sat against it.

The boy continued to lay on the ground. He looked at her, if she really wanted him dead, she should have just killed him when she saw the symbol.

She took a few more steps towards the wounded boy.. standing there for but a moment until bent at the elbow, she held her hand out in front of her, fingers curled; the familiar wisps beginning to churn around and dark energies gathering. She had finally done it. "Get up.." She simply said. the charging energies created a violet sphere, a deep void seemingly drawn from the netherworld itself, orbited by yet more wisps, her eyes shining with a malevolent light. "I'm sure by now you can do it, stand up Black Horizon dog.." her voice tense, grizzled with anger, eyes narrowing some as she held her stance.

She would kill him or he kill her, here and now, her brink had been passed the moment further travel seemed halted by Eton, and this boy embodied her very reason for traveling anyway, so with vicious intent, she prepared to strike, allowing him only a small amount of time to stand his ground.

"I'm sure by now you can do it, stand up Black Horizon dog.."

The boy jumped to his feet immedietly, she was ready to strike him, charging a dark spell. Almost immedietly he was up and had his blade to her throat. He could have killed her but didn't. She starred at him with intense anger, almost as if the fires of hell burned in her eyes, determined to get revenge. His eyes, showed fear, he was afraid. He gripped his blade tightly still pointed at Tara's throat, but he shook.

"I.....I...don't want to.....I don't want to fight anymore...." He said whispering almost whimpering. He knew he was damned to fight for what he was, but when it came to it, killing someone who his group wronged. He couldn't take it. "Please....I..." He stopped and closed his eyes.

One moment, he knew, who they were and had contemplated this in his head. But. When it came to actual fighting, the situation seemed all too different.

A smirk was plastered across her face, her fingers had spread open only slightly so, as the sword as been pressed to her throat; the dark seal had formed beneath his feet, the howls of the damned could already be heard, though muffled. It was harmless for now; the gate of which it would open was still sealed; the glowing violet light emanating at the seal readied to open and unleash the fury of the netherworld; truly they were at a stalemate now, if either made a further move, one or perhaps both may not live to see the days twilight hours. The ball still held form within her control, unreleased at least for now.

"I see fear in your eyes, demon of the horizon" She presented him as; letting her wickedness bear through. "Why do you fear? , you know whom i am, my markings must be all too familiar to someone such as yourself, you slaughtered many-a-like with these very same designs, am i wrong?" her tone was almost cheerful, though her expression never gave way from the look of unabated hatred mixed with psychotic grin.

He closed his eyes, tears began streaming down his face. Yet he held his grip on his blade, still near her throat.

"I.....am....the demon...A slayer of men...though...I am....I...don't...I.." He said sorrowfully. "I....I....I don't want to kill any more.....the guilt....I....I.....I...don't.." He stopped and swallowed nothing. A gulp, trying to find the words. He killed many of her kind before, many others before, many others after.

Her fingers held still, the seal spinning in slow circles at his feet, simply waiting to be opened wide. She enjoyed his obvious great guilt he endured. "Yes, you butcher innocents for fun don't you? you enjoy all the killing" her grin never ceasing, letting the sharp blade edged against her throat, she knew she may very well die, but she'd make him come with her. The seal pulsated some, as if the tormented beneath, beckoned for flesh.

"Yes, you butcher innocents for fun don't you? you enjoy all the killing"

He still held the blade close to her throat and shook. He had killed many, it bothered him greatly, due to it he couldn't sleep at night anymore since the attack. Since that day, he could never sleep, not since he found out what had happened. It sickened him. He couldn't take it. He decided he wouldn't kill another who held such a grudge. He fell to his knees on the seal and let the weapon down, Tears ran down his eyes.

"Ev....evryone is dead........I....Im alone." He muttered in a cry. "Please.......I.....just....just kill me.....I...can't deal with it.....the guilt.....its too much....I.." He then just broke down into a sob at Tara's feet. "I'm...so sorry....i....I...really.....ne..never had a say."

She would grumble some, the orb dispersing into the atmosphere, the seal expanding outwards and simply dimming into nothingness. She couldn't bring herself to fell a foe in such a broken state, he wasn't even putting up a fight anymore.. sighing, it was if her anger wasted away, for the most part anyway; she was at least coming to her senses. "Hmph.." She'd turn away from him, leaving him to wallow in his guilt.. "Odd it is... i made it an ambition of mine to slay those who destroyed my life.. and now i can't bring myself to finish you off.. how disappointing" she'd step away now. Hair flowing with the windy, brushing off some flakes of snow as she walked; she wasn't satisfied, no; but she was at least calmed down enough not to press her very life in danger for the sake of revenge.

Serene stayed sitting down, thinking. Suddenly she just remembered something. "The man with the healing sword...I forgot all about him in the remembering on the past." Serene said, auietly, so she wouldn't disturb anyone. She looked at the boy, and watched how he struggled. "Maybe he could help this pathetic child become healthy again..."
