I agree that Nova is a bit of a cliché character (in that he plays really down-to-earth, that is), but I like his air mobility (8 way air dash+flight, wiew! Doesn't beat Firebrand tho)

And yes, according to Seth you can power up the beam super with your red health, to make it just as strong as a LVL 3 Super, depending on the amount of red health you sacrifice. Seems like a big risk, big reward attack if you ask me, pretty interesting.

There goes our chances of MegaMan X, Roll, Cyclops, Wily, and Anti-Venom for DLC (Which in overall, Had huge fanbases and requests on these characters for DLC).

And Capcom is trolling us again! Wily,Servbot,Roll, and Mega Man X? As cards and not any of them being DLC characters? Why!?!?!?
And i know they're not gonna be DLC because if you can tell from the cards, so far none of them appears to show any of the MVC3 characters in the game.. Ugh..

But the original Blue Bomber and Gene still have a chance... I hope...

Actually, Venom was pretty much guaranteed a roster spot.. but

Marvel didn't want Venom in. Seth posted that on the blog I believe, when he disconfirmed some other characters (including Roll and Cyclops).

Then again, Hiryu and Nemesis were also disconfirmed, along with Frank. I guess the strangest thing can happen.


At the rest of you: Mega Man X is a card yes, get over it. This is in no way trolling though.

EDIT: Holy s***, a Howard the Duck card! So Marvel does still love him after all.

That still doesn't tell that the original Mega Man himself is Disconfirmed... But if it does, i'd be really pissed.
And its also a shame that Roll didn't get the chance. She was one of the best characters in the MVC universe and she was in every MVC game. Really disappointing to see her Disconfirmation

Well the only chances of DLC that people want to see are Mega Man, Venom, Gene, and Psylocke (According to the polls, they are the remaining four DLC that was requested on the capcom unity poll). If any of these requested DLC characters are exchanged for random characters like Nova and Iron Fist, im literally going to throw in a b**** on this game...

Damian, I wouldn't rely on MvC info, that was quite a while back, and many things have changed.

Hence why I contradicted myself with the examples Nemesis, Frank and Hiryu.

However, I will add that it seems Marvel wants to add characters that they plan on using for stuff soon (besides fan favourites like Ghost Rider and Dr. Strange) point in case: Hawkeye (advertising Avengers movie) and many people assume Nova is also going to get some love from Marvel in the upcoming future because of his inclusion.

I think that if Marvel plans to do nothing with Venom for a while, it could hurt his chances of making it in.

Capcom also stated there wasn't going to be any DLC in a hwile, however I don't believe this. They also stated that there wouldn't be much DLC for the orignal, but I tend to find the wooping amount of 12 characters quite much.
So there is nothing to do but wait and see, I guess.

And doctor strange is going to have something revealed within 2011-2012.
And i hope they meant "Not much DLC" by the shadow battles. That mode was f*** terrible...
The only DLC they made for the original MVC3 was one costume pack, 2 characters, and a ton of random shadow battles.

They did confirm that each character will at least have one alternate costume so thats DLC for starters. We got the upcoming heroes and heralds mode (So thats two). And we may be getting 2-4 UMVC3 characters so thats three. Im sure thats much better than the crap we got in MVC3

But yeah, I think most new marvel characters might just be included because of advertising (bar maybe Rocket Raccoon). And considering Venom isn't likely to get his own movie, nor get in any new Spider-Man movie or anything along those lines, I think chances might be slim.

Rocket Raccoon (and Nova, I think) will be appearing in the next season of the Avengers cartoon. Also, Marvel's planning on a Guardians of the Galaxy movie (a team which Rocket Raccoon is a prominent member of). Also, Nova and Rocket Raccoon starred in a recent comic book series called "The Thanos Imperative."

Also, the current Venom is Flash Thompson, an agent of SHIELD.

Putting him in as he currently is would be kind of weird.

... But then again, they don't really have to stick with current continuity so beats me.

The real Venom (Eddie Brock) is currently Anti-Venom. If they put in any Venom, it should be Eddie.

Also, I was really hoping for a Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
