To answer the dev's previous question, I use side-b an awful lot. It's my favorite attack.

I don't see how Tails isn't beginner friendly. When I first played the game mashing buttons got me results. Nevertheless I understand his technicality as I have changed somewhat since first playing him.

Well the problem is that at like competitive tournaments or games versus humans the average person could not play Tails from what I noticed. Like Tails ALWAYS lost unless the player knee what they were doing with him.

But now I think he is which I appreciate. But like I mentioned so many times I am not a pro and I play for fun so...

Not trying to double post but this is something different that maybe I was wondering if you guys could help with. I made some Tails videos on my Youtube channel and could you better players critique me? I know I made some stupid mistakes. Like too much spindashing and dwn smashing (I am learning so please bear with me).

It is all the videos that say Tails vs (character). Not the old ones that say practice

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBQGA_ ... dE7f7WLldw

Based on my play style what level do you think I am at?

-Tails's most important trait is his good mobility; learn to make the best use out of it.
-I see that you lost a lot of stocks to SDs. You used your jumps rapidly without spacing them out, and you weren't able to recover because you were too low to reach the edge with your up-special. Instead, use one jump at a time.
-Tails has a good forward air, so you can rack up good damage and push the opponent off-stage with it easily. Use it often.

Thank you very much! Yeah in the later videos you could see I tried to use fair more and less spin dash. Also I was experimenting with some moves like nair so... thanks again.

Sweet thanks for the video! I am going to study it. If I may ask what are some starting exercises you'd recommend?

I think I need to start doing basic exercises to start now

I..just want to be like that and be able to play :/

Basic exercises? I dunno, just go to training mode and practice mobility, since tails does have alot of movement options.

When you get the basic stuff down(movement, combos, edgeguarding, etc) then move onto the mindgame stuff.

Overall point is be a cool guy.

I have spent almost 74 hours perfecting Tails.

He is my best combo character, and my best damage output character.

I'd say that the only thing to watch out for are VERY "Heavy Hitters" like DK or Samus, and getting up close is always good. Granted you know Tails' moves and how much they move him.

Basically, he can be very fun to play when you get him right. Otherwise, you get KO'ed very often. And stay away from the edges, unless you know how far you can go. The back air isn't good for side recovery, but Right/Left Special and Down Special are. THis is actually something I see a lot in Online mode.

Tails is an amazing character, you just need to know how to use him.

If you already haven't noticed, when you jump spindash off the edge of anything, you can cancel the momentum with S-spec. I think this would be highly important in some scenarios no?

Tails also seems to really be at an advantage in the hands of a platform area like Dreamland or Battlefield (and Pokemon stadium 3). A dashing U-spec easily draws him closer to the opponent with little time to react and damages them and sends them far enough to not take any punishment and to make things even worse for the opponent, Tails' U-spec gains enough vertical height to get him on top of the platform, effectively allowing Tails to still defend even if the opponent would DI the first few hits.

Man, I knew Tails could get really technical, but everything I'm seeing so far is impressive.

I still gotta learn how to mix in those tailsdashes into my gameplay, if that's even possible. The timing on tailsdash-grab (or tailsdash-anything, really) seems so tricky to get online though, definitely need a lot more experience.

Handy thing about the neutral special projectile is that it goes through a good number of other characters' projectiles, like Mario's fireballs, even Link's ones if I recall right. This is definitely detrimental to approaching campy characters.
