A shame they killed him, a fair trial would've been a much better step forwards for the country.

I honestly don't think things are going to improve as much we would like. I mean, rebel groups (afaik) we're the ones who executed Gaddafi. Now that he's dead, which rebel group will want the power next? Another war could break out easily for the power right now.

I find it sad that people celebrate that sort of thing. I get people on facebook spouting stuff like "Congratulations on the Lybian Rebels on capturing and killing Gaddafi after several months of bloodshed caused by him. You're true fighters for freedom! :D fantastic job!". It's depressing. I really don't think that have any right to take another life out of revenge, let alone glory in that act.

I guess people see like it when others get their just desserts.

Although I agree that celebrating the murder of someone is pretty bad, you have to look at it from different perspectives. The Libyan people have been oppressed by this man for 42 (correct me if it's wrong, fairly certain though) long years. Emotions run wild. Even if none of the people who celebrated his death feel any remorse for doing such a "cruel" thing, I don't blame them. If I had had been in that situation, I would have done the same thing.
