I'm in the middle of episode 5, which I've heard is the last one before the epilogue. Each episode seems shorter than Sly 2's, which is dissapointing... but pretty good and feels just like a sly game.

Don't like how Penelope turns bad, though...

EDIT: Final boss was the worst in any game, ever. Extremely dissapointing.

Just finished. Gonna keep going on in search of 100% bottles, masks & treasures, but here are my post-final boss thoughts:

+Tons of charm
+Characters are all likable and fantastic
+TIME TRAVEL
+Solid platforming/stealth hybrid the series is known for
+Mainly sticks to the formula that Sly 2 perfected
+Tons of s*** to run around and collect
+Lots of moments throughout the game that were just so much fun they left me grinning like a b****
+Murray in drag = goty
-Loading times are ridiculous
-Bugs out the a** (Game crashed on me twice)
-Final boss fight was terrible terrible terrible disappointing underwhelming bad

Also I didn't have the space to mention it on Backloggery but the belly dance thing was f*** uncomfortable. And I'm not sure I feel about the whole Penelope thing, it seems totally out of character, and totally out of left field.

Agreed 100% with everything you said. Also it's short, but the collectables that I'm too lazy to go and get right now make up for it.

The belly dance just kinda... sucked compared to Murray's. The guards didn't react enough to it.

THE CAMERA

When I play in third person I like to invert the horizontal camera, because I feel like I'm controlling the camera rather than the character's head. But when the viewpoint switches to first person or over the shoulder, I prefer to use standard, because I'm controlling the character rather than the camera behind them. However, there's only one option in the whole game for the horizontal camera - I found myself having to switch it frequently, every time I needed more precision in a first person/OTS section. Needless to say, this made playing as Tennessee Kid Cooper a b****. (Which sucks, since he was my favorite..)

I also didn't feel like each individual character got a lot of time in the spotlight. There were simply too many.

Anyway, still a good game, I just have a lot of gripes with it.

Termin, I'm curious; would you think the game would have been 'better' if Sucker Punch had developed it?

I should get around to playing any Sly Cooper.

Buy the Sly Collection imo.

I love every game Sucker Punch released, but despite its flaws, this is still a really solid Sly game. I was pretty worried about the game being given to Sanzaru, but I think they did very well with it. Give them a Sly 5 to perfect the little issues I had earlier and it could be absolutely fantastic.

They did a great job, although I can't really say whether Sucker Punch would've done it better or not.

I think the concept and execution of costumes and time travel into Sly Cooper 4 worked very well compared to other games.

Definitely haven't gotten into the Sly Cooper games much except for the 1st one but I'll be happy to snag this along with a copy of the HD trilogy someday to see what i'm missing out

I think Sucker Punch deserves a break after making 3 Sly games.
And I do have the Sly Collection, and got 3 platinum trophies

Sucker Punch did make both inFamous games after Sly 3. What's one more Sly Cooper from them?
