Tania looked around frantically, the maniac wanted a ride, Rana was nowhere to be found and Nechis would probably need a ride too. "I knew we shouldn't have come here I knew it" she thought. She knew that not everyone would be able to fit on Windy's back. Whatever the creature was, it did not sound cute or cuddly. She knew that whatever was out there knew where exactly they were due to the large bonfire so if she made some noise the others would be able to group together, and possibly fight the monsters.

"Everyone" she said in a hushed whisper for a reason unknown to herself "Not all of us can fight whatever is coming, but my guess is that they're nocturnal or they would have come out during the day, if we manage to keep the fire burning brightly we can maybe keep them away from us" She hoped that Rana somehow knew they were in trouble, she patted the neck of Windy's mane. "Get out your weapons we may need to fight any monsters that stray to close to us."

"Black King, find your mistress we need to get out of this town now!" shouted Windy telepathically. She looked up at the night sky but if he was there, there was no way to tell because of his pure black coat.

J grinned at Julius' reply. He somehow enjoyed seeing the little runt squirm like that. "Well, my deal is simple. I'll lead you to the village, if you give me something on equal or more value." he told him, not finished. "However, you have to tell me what you are going to give me. If I accept what you are giving me, I'll gladly help you." J was still grinning. Even though he has a huge, muscled body, he strangely still was rather quick when it came to thinking.

Serene jumped up a little when she heard the howls. She looked around, frightened. She had no weapon to defend herself, and she felt helpless, a feeling she despised completely. In her fear, she grabbed onto Eton even tighter, almost losing balance. "What...was...that?" she asked, freaked out.

Black king heard the howls, and Windy's message. He didn't care much for the sounds at the start, be when he realized how close they were, he headed to the area Serene was in. He wouldn't let her die, even if it meant having to help the rouge as well. As he headed towards them, he shook his head, angry it came to this. If he was a young fowl, he would have been scolded by his father, but he was dead now, and he had to scold himself, a job which he couldn't seem to do.

The scent had intensified immediately, mixing in the air with rising soot. The man had completely ignored his gestures to halt, and had proceeded to ignite the hoard of cadavers. Nechis' eyes adopted a bitter look as he turned to gaze behind him at the others. His eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't even noticed the the other two had come back from the armory. His gaze was focused on them, as Tekun's lips began to move.

"We need to leave."

Tekun's words were spoken loud enough for all of them to hear, and by the looks of it, the pale haired man wasn't ecstatic about the choice. It was only after Tekun pointed out that a creature was approaching that Nechis heard the shrieking howls. By the sound of it, it was coming quite near. The fire would only succeed in attracting it. He gave a glare at the cavalier, cutting it off, knowing that the man had already chastised himself, if he was responsible enough. His gaze shifted to spy upon the flames. The scent was still heavy in the air. The orange haired man was still trying to conjure a plan, when the sound of Tania's softly spoken voice reached his ears. It seemed that she wanted to group together and attempt to fight the fiends that came close in their departure. Nechis nodded his head towards her, reached for his axe in approval, holding it firmly as he moved to approached the others, softly pushing his feet into the ground with each step.

Rana felt too heavy to move. The howls in the distance... He was doubtful they were anything. The others had stirred but he didn't mind to look closely. Instead he curled up his legs and, sighing heavily, began trying to sleep.

Gabriel ran up behind the giant bird and dove for its back. He grabbed Windy's tail and, pulling hard and jumping, quickly clambered onto her and crashed into the others. He began to slip off but caught himself, then turned and shouted to Lucifer to hurry up.

The pegasus struggled to remain in the air with the added weight of Gabriel. Tekun looked at the man, shouting for this Lucifer. "Get off! It can't hold us all Damn it!" Tekun shouted to him, getting ready to kick him off. "Use your head!"

"Sounds like something big and hungry." Eton said. "Where's your pegasus. This is no time for it to be hiding." He said. Serene was afraid and so was he. A Dagger was his only defense, and Serene didn't have her lance with her at the moment.

Julius sighed. Safety was really up there. This guy was really starting to get to him, but he submerged his hatred. He'd have to try something, pull something out of his sleeve. He thought for a moment.

"Only if you agree for the payment when we get there." Julius said.

"Special things? What sort of items could you be carrying besides water and jerky? I'd have soiled my good deductive skills if I'd let something to secret pass by me... well, I suppose you'd have a good reason to keep secrets from me, otherwise it wouldn't be a secret at all." Lex hopped down from another boulder and looked down. The village was just over the next hill, brown roofs littering the township. "Haha, looks like we're finally here.."

Lex and Leon strode into town. Lex barely moved his gaze to any side, keeping his strength. "So... what first?" He had barely noticed that there were no villagers in the streets and all lights had been turned off. "The tavern? I'd fancy a pint about now."

"Secrets? Heh, I'd have to kill you if I told you everything." Leon chuckled as he approached the village. There was something up, an eerie quietness. The place was dead, there was a smell in the air as well and then a growl in the distance.

"Somethingg ain't right here." Leon said. "The smell of blood is in the air and no one is around."

"Yes, I noticed that... but really, blood in these times is more common than air. How can you say it's not from an animal or something? Really, let's just hit the bar." Lex waltzed up to the tavern doors and tried to pull them open. They wouldn't budge an inch, so he proceeded to climb all around them, trying to make them give way. Eventually, he fell in front, out of breath. "Gods, who locked this thing?! Aren't they supposed to be open all night?" He kicked it one final time before joining Leon on the road. Leon was listening and staring. "What is it?" The growling got louder. "Gigh! Wh-what is that!?" Lex hastily unsheathed his blade and stood apart from his friend. "I sense there is going to be a fight. Lead the way." His muscles relaxed and his eyes narrowed to slits.

Rana stirred. Something had brushed up against his conscience. His eyes cracked open and he looked up into the almost dark sky. Night had come. And whatever had touched him was moving. It was moving a lot. Rana stretched out his mind, searching. Could it have been the dark knight? The one who had attacked before? No. The knight hadn't touched Rana at all; instead it had avoided him.
Rana found what he was looking for. Its soul roared and grumbled, pulsing powerfully and leering out at everything. It was angry. Images filled Rana's head. There was a massive lion devouring a pile of rabbits and people running from a slender snake, among more... disturbing things. The creature was strange and inhuman, not to mention angry. Rana leaned forward, ready to stand and break whatever peace he had felt for those past few moments. The others were strong, though he felt they weren't ready for whatever was hiding in the town.

Gabriel squirmed and latched onto one of Tania's arms. "Leave me alone! They want to eat me! The things want to eat me!" He yelled at Tekun. There wasn't enough room on the giant bird, he thought. Maybe he could push the mean man or lady off. The other man hadn't done anything mean yet though, so Gabriel didn't mind him. "What's happening? Where are you taking us?" He groaned at the bird.

In the distnace, there were three flying figures. Approaching fast, as Tekun argued with Gabriel, they gained speed. A large one and then two smaller ones. It soon became apparrent that they were not Wyverns. They were dragons. Three red ones, two younger and a larger. They picked up speed. Tekun looked over and realized how bas this situation was.

"Damn it!" He shouted. "We don't have time to flee now."

By this time, Leon was almost already out of the village. It was clear to him s*** was going on. As Lex foolishly tried to force a tavern door open. He looked to his left to see bodies, mangled corpses. He sighed at the sight, it confirmed his thoughts, it was time to leave.

"You coming or what?" He said, turning his head to Lex.

"Payment when we get there. Heh, you don't want me to run off then." J said to Julius, not surprised. "Well, I guess I could let that slip off for now...but if you don't pay me, I'll kill you." He said that last part easily, though, he didn't even know if he was bluffing or not, himself. He picked up his mallet, and tossed it a little ways back. He turned back to the group.
"I'll be sleeping in that area tonight. If you have any questions, come up to me and ask."

Black King spotted Serene and performed a dive to reach her quickly. He pulled up right when he was close enough to the ground, and pulled himself into a gallop towards her. It was times like this where his military training helped him the most. At least he hoped so...

Serene heard the galloping, and turned her head to see Black King come towards them. She didn't notify Eton, and began to bring, or in this case, force him towards Black King.
"Black King! Get over here quickly!" she shouted to him. She put her fears of the sound into the back of her mind as she met up with Black King.
Serene jumped on the saddle, and began to help Eton up as well.

Windy bucked wildly as the madman attacked her, the dragons were quickly approaching. Tania held onto her lance, she was glad that she had finally gotten a weapon before they had come. Windy flew towards the ground, her hooves skidding across the cobblestones sending dirt and debris flying into the air in front of them. "Just as I thought" she said "We have no choice but to fight them" She helped the others off of the pegasus, and the crazy man who was still flailing about was bucked off by Windy's twisting and kicking of her hind legs. Tania dug into her pack and put on Windy's armour. She braided her hair so that it wouldn't get in her way while in battle, and twirled the lance in the air above her head. "OK let's do this" She looked around again for any sign of Black King, Serene, Eton and Rana, she was beginning to feel worried about their absence. She pushed aside any thoughts of them being eaten by dragons. She looked up at the scaly beasts as they approached, and shook her head at the terrible luck that they always seemed to have.

"Going? Where are we off to?" Lex looked around. Several human corpses littered the streets, blood still seeping from their wounds. "These are fresh... perchance, are we heading toward the assailants? Don't you think it would be best to head away from the mindless killers? I mean, you're a killer and all, but you're far from mindless. That does mean you could have the advantage, but they'll tear you to shreds without a second thought." Lex continued to ramble and follow Leon as closely as he could.

"Growling, and corpses." Leon said. "Add that combination together with the carnage. I'm not sticking around to see what did this." As he finished his sentence, he stepped out of the village. "Shut up now, before you attract attention."

When Jay through his malet, he uncovered a fire tome, hidden by the snow.

Julius beleived the man, but had another idea in mind at the curent moment.

"You said the village wasn't too far from here. Why not head there instead of out here in the cold." He tried to push the threat to the back of his mind. "Also, that village we were near before, how about gettign away from it, lest something kill or eat us as we sleep."

Eton rushed on the pegasus and climbed aboard successfully. "Look, we can't just leave, we leave, they follow. I doubt you can out fly a dragon. We need to do something here."

J walked over to his area, and found the tome and picked it up. "s***, worthless magic tomes always seem to randomly come into my possession. Though, maybe I'll keep this one, it probably can go for a good price." He untied the bandanna that was covering his head, and wrapped it around the tome tightly. His hair fell down, going down about six inches past his shoulders. He sat himself against a large sized rock, and pulled out his novel, to get some reading done in the romance story he just bought, Lovely Day.

Serene ordered Black King to go into a low hover above the village, he complied and lifted them up into a hover. "I know we can't outrun that thing, but what we can do is find the others, surely then we'll fair a better chance." she had Black King try to follow the scent of the other Pegasus, it was the only way they'd find the group.
