What I got from that was that after a moment of time has passed, it is 'destroyed' and you cannot recover it. Therefore, going back in time is impossible. The future hasn't happened yet, so you can go there either.
Using time as a place, of course~

When you're referring to a time like "Last Week" or "Yesterday" in Japanese, you treat it as if you're talking about a place.
