Normally every part of a ssf2 sprite has a colored outline. the swords look a little bit small right now but its pretty good overall

Link's sword, face, tunic, pants, hair and boots all have a black outline. I don't really know about the other sprites though to be honest.

I think that's to differ the characters or something. Zelda has a consistent black outline on most of her sprites, Sheik as well. Yet Marth, Captain Falcon, and Mario don't. Fox has a black outline too. I think it can go either way. Nice progress btw.

I just prefer the colored outlines since they make some of the parts of a character come together very well. I also second Paula from Earthbound and would prefer a more custom look for her. Maybe even Jeff or Kumatora in the future??? Good luck!

I'd make the face a bit bigger, it looks like you're trying to fit a lot of details onto a small canvas, shading everywhere else looks great though.
