This will either turn out really good or really bad...
It looks like the grappling glove thing will not only be used for flying around, but it'll also be used to drift as well.
There's around 6 species with different perks
My guess is that red tool the character has is outputting wispons, and the wisp capsules you collect are the gun's fuel. So that double explosion jump thing is the burst wispon gadget.
Also the character WILL appear in cutscenes, so it's safe to assume a lot of these cutscenes will be in-game
