You're missing the point about the size. Ridley has already chimed in his size comparison in smash bros canon. The boss you saw in SSE is his canon smash bros size. Aka huge. It wouldn't make any sense at all for them to add Ridley after that, since again his size was already shown. Sakurai knows that, it's why he was a boss, and not a rep.

Even there he looks too big TerminX. Not only is the body itself already bigger than Bowser, but his wings double that size if they're outstretched. He's too f*** big.

I like Ridley as a boss anyways... I don't want him to be playable... He's just that type of character that gets ruined by being able to play as him if you ask me.

That argument is pants-on-head stupid, man. You're trying to imply that the size of a character cannot change from game to game.

Ridley was the same height as Samus in the first Metroid.
Bowser's size varies wildly depending on the game.
Hell, if we want to take it a step further, a lot of the characters in Smash had massive design & moveset changes through the various releases.

But I acknowledge that he's a longshot. That acknowledgement is what started this conversation, if you recall.

This one's gonna come up more than f***' Geno, and it'll come up during the hype for every Smash game until either he's added or Smash dies. Not much can be done about that, man.

Anyway. You guys are welcome to not want him as much as you please, but at least just admit you don't want him rather than resorting to the "2big" argument. It's been refuted a ton of times with many points you've already heard so I'm not gonna repeat.

The argument is that that within smash brothers canon, a character's size won't change. Not that a character can't change design from game to game at all - just within the smash bros canon. No character has ever been changed in smash on such a fundamental level. Changing movesets is not the same thing as making a character four times smaller.

Also "but at least just admit you don't want him rather than resorting to the '2big' argument" doesn't really make sense. Even if you don't agree with the reasoning, you don't have to be so condescending to say that people just "don't want" him without reason and then come up with bad arguments to justify their position. I don't say there's a size issue because I don't want him in: I don't want him in because of the size issue (among other things). There's lots of characters that I like that wouldn't fit in a Smash Bros environment for various reasons, and Ridley is one of them. In all these cases, I formed my position based on points I consider reasonable. I didn't form my position then come up with points after the fact.

Bowser can use magic, therefore explaining how he gets so big in some games. Play Super Mario Galaxy, he gets massive, then after being defeated, he reverts to being not much bigger than Mario.
