We need some more Metal Gear on this topic so i made it with a new update.

Players who pre-order Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance gets probably one of the most badass pre-order items up-to-date.



Remember Gray Fox from the original Metal Gear Solid games? Yea.. Well you get to play as him!

Not too pumped for this title tbh. I prefer the Tactical Espionage Action kind of gameplay.

I also thought that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots had a really strong ending, I'm not really interested in a sequel nor in the character of Raiden.

Edit: Nvm. I take that back. So yea.. Not hyped for the fact its a sequel to Metal Gear Solid 4 ._.

Still, the combat system looks fun though

Originally it was supposed to be a midquel set in between MGS2/MGS4 explaining how Raiden became a cyborg, but I'm sure you know. I think I would've appreciated the story more if it sticked with that. Also not happy with Vamp returning again.

The gameplay overall looks very hack 'n slashy wich is not neccesarily a bad thing. Personally, I'm looking towards Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero moreso then this one.

Grey Fox however, is a great addition. Will he just be a skin or have somewhat of a seperate story?

I'm not saying it's 'ruining the series'. I'm just not really hyped for it.

That is not what i meant. Maybe i should be more clear next time:

I'm just feeling a bit indifferent time to time because of my friend being addicted with the Metal Gear solid series though i am not saying its ruining the game or the series at all. I'm just saying that i didn't expect this to take place after Metal Gear Solid 4 but most likely be just an Interquel as supposed when it was first announced as Metal Gear: Rising.

Still, that doesn't change my mind about the gameplay and this is probably like the third Metal Gear game i'll ever play so to me, the series doesn't feel much of an impact for me. It does take place four years after 4 so i'd consider it as a different IP myself.
