he fells like a solid mid tier to me. Marth is pretty much a glass canon in that he needs to be at a certain range in which he's extremely effective but gets gimped, zoned, and combo-ed easily. his worst match ups are characters with multiple jumps (kirby/metaknight) and zoning characters (link/samus). But once he gets in poking range he can be really scary.

Melee Marth had that problem, and he did fine. He has a stall and a ranged dair, so there are characters with worse problems than he has in that area,

I personally think that marth's alright this demo... I'd just adjust the tipper to match melee's and he's perfect.

I'm trying to get good with him. Could definitely use more practice.

It would also be nice to revert the shield breaker to the Melee version.

Melee shield breaker did have a lot of range and was excellent for edge guarding(especially spacies). The brawl shield breaker is good for recovery however.

this one has more horizontal range and momentum and more KO power AND more shield damage. melee shield breaker overlaps the same places as sideb/fsmash so this anim is a lil better imo. it's tons better overall than the melee one.

How do you recover with Shield Breaker? It confuses me how the momentum works.

IMO it's better to recover with sideB anyway. I seem to get more distance.

if you already have momentum towards the stage and you have a jump left, just do an uncharged nspec towards the stage, then jump and use sidebs for extra boost, then uspec

I don't play much Marth, but does anyone else think his dtilt is too slow? Wish you could double poke it ala melee.

I play some marth, dtilt is definitely pretty slow. I generally only use it for a mixup in approaching or for edgeguarding.
