A nine-year old boy in Florida brought “multiple weapons to school” and the game being blamed for this action is Minecraft. How in the world someone that has played Minecraft would develop violent tendencies is beyond me, but apparently there has to be some scapegoat or bigger claim to make the story interesting.

This boy was sentenced to home confinement for his actions and is presumably unable to access the incredibly dangerous Minecraft. The claim that Minecraft caused the boy to bring a gun into school seems to have originated with remarks made by his father.

The father stated:
They use hammers to dig and knives and guns to protect themselves from zombies

So there we have it, completely unrealistic games like Minecraft can influence a child bringing a gun to school even when the game does not resemble real life in any way.

The father was not only unaware that you cannot dig with a hammer, and there are no hammers, guns, or knives in Minecraft; he also left both the gun and its ammunition in places where his nine-year-old could get into them.

Oh my, I didn't even think of that.

Okay, I can believe that Columbine was caused by Doom.
Maybe, Sandy Hook wasn't fake (I Can't Decide), I could believe that CoD caused it.
But MINECRAFT?
