To be fair I agree with Seth that the game was lacking a heavy hitter. I don't mean to compare the game to Smash Bros more than I need to, but the closest thing we had to characters like Bowser, Ganon, etc was Big Daddy and, well... yeah.

What about Sweet Tooth?

Woops, completely forgot about Sweet Tooth. I guess he's more of the Ganon type though.

What I find weird is that Kratos feels like he should fit into that group as well, but he doesn't. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had recently played his games thought.

I wouldn't consider Sweet Tooth a "huge" character like Big Daddy or Zeus.

Waifu: am lonely
so i actually played the game today
i like it but i am disappointed as a tekken fan
i mean hechachi doesnt even have his trademark dragon uppercut
and if he does i guess i didnt have enough time to tinker with the game since it was on a stand in some game shop

i will get it though

Any DLC speculations? I think there might be more DLC in the future.

I'd sacrifice more IPs for more unique characters. There's a preview video of the two on IGN's page:

Isaac has some cool tools (and a f*** awesome level 3), but Zeus impresses me the most. He seems like a lot of fun to play, and a legitimate TANK character. (Also his level 3 is super f*** cool too)

I'd rather have a generic-nothing-special character that brings a new, unique playstyle than a super cool guy who plays boring as f***. Just me, though.

Issac's level 3 reminds of asteroids

So, since making character wishlists is a little generic, not to mention uncreative, I've decided to do something a lil' different: stage wishlists.

Here's what I've got so far:
Metal Gear Rising: Fight atop a giant skyscraper helipad in the rain. The floor will collapse intermittently to send you to lower levels. Mixes with Escape Plan, where the lowest level is filled with traps.
Devil may Cry: A city street which phases in and out of Limbo, with the appropriate change of stage design as the ground and rubble shifts. Mixes with Katamari Damacy, where a Katamari will roll through the stage time and again.
Fat Princess: A large stage with two castles, separated by a drawbridge that raises and lowers. Catapults are also available to launch you from one side to the other. Mixes with Tekken, where Devil appears to fire lasers around the stage before getting knocked out of the sky by a catapulting chicken.

I want that DmC stage. It sounds beautiful. As does the Fat Princess one.

I personally would like to see a stage based on Journey. Halfway through the match, a sandstorm will occur and blow away sand dunes, revealing probs from the Iram of the Pillars from Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

So, apparently, they were considering a Katamari representative, but they couldn't come up with a good moveset.

Anyone feel like putting a set together with me? Lil' side project?

...how would a katamari rep even work? Like I got an idea for his supers, but I'm baffled as to how his normals would work.

For his supers I'm thinking his Level 1 would just be him using the super charge or whatever it's called, essentially a shorter and taller ranged version of Donte's stinger.

Level 2 could be like him having a few seconds to roll up enemies before the Katamari gets tossed up into the sky and turns into a star.

And Level 3 would probably be an insta-kill for all of the opponents with the King of All Cosmos coming down and using his Royal Rainbow to warp them all out.

See, the problem is that everyone assumes the Katamari can only be used for specials. I figure he could use it in his main attacks as well, either having it out all the time or summoning it when needed with O, like Sir Dan's shield. And it'll be small. Like the size of Toro.

Thought: When the Prince's Katamari is out, picking up items sticks them to the Katamari instead. You can have like three objects stuck to the Katamari, and they increase the AP output of attacks involving it.

Now that's the thing is that I actually would be surprised if the Katamari wasn't out constantly, otherwise it would feel weird. The problem I'm having is that I'm unsure what would be considered a "normal" attack for it? Only three things I can think of would be
A: One of his throws being the spin attack that certain people use when you roll them up
B: Having him toss/kick it a short distance away before it comes rolling back
C: Having one of the long items (sword, flute, etc.) come out the side and have him roll the katamari so it hits the opponent.
