True... though Nintendo consoles typically have some good launch title to tide you over (SMB, SMW, Tetris, SM64, Melee, LoZTP, SM64DS... I forget what GBC and GBA had). The best the 3DS can do is SSFIV, Pilotwings, and Nintendogs+Cats. Wish we at least had Layton, like Japan does...

Don't double post. IIRC, they released a Layton prequel in Japan, a movie in Japan and the UK (!), and working on a sequel to the prequel...in Japan. Why must Japan hate us so? And I'm not even going into the Mother series...

Probably because it might not sell, or in the case of Mother, a huge amount of licensing issues which might not be a issue now though.

Prof Layton is one of the most popular series here in the UK (Mostly for the 40 year old women who only own Layton, Brain Training and Countdown: The Game though) so money isn't the problem here.

It at least had Luigi's Mansion, then. Instead of launching with Mario like usual, it launched with Luigi.
