Game wont load past 5%

Please help anyone i've been trying to figure this out for a week im on a mac and when ever i try to load ssf2 it gets stuck on 5%, ive used different archives to unzip it, ive used the built in one as well ive even tried the local storage clearing thing by TSON please please help me im using mac os Sierra

Are your SSF2.exe and the data folder in the same place? It should look similar to this:

yes it is i have checked all the tutorials out there and by far this was the simplest to do but it still doesnt work they are in the same folder but its still stuck on 5% and also im on a mac |

OMFG MCLEODGAMING FIX YOUR S*** THE PROBLEM OF IT NOT LOADING PAST 5% ON MAC WAS BECAUSE ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS MAKE THE NAME OF THE DATA FOLDER FROM 'data' TO 'Data' A CAPITAL F****ING LETTER DID ALL OF THIS. IM. DONE.

im aware that there is multiple different issues with the same 'symptoms' for example if the .sff files are corrupted or if they werent extracted properly but after trying solutions to all of those and still having the same issue it is safe to say the solution i said above (very angrily XD) is the correct way to fix it |

Yeah, if your game doesn't load past 5%, it means that you wither don't have the data folder or there are 2 of them on one desktop. Happened to me once too.
