I'm curious to see what the community's opinion on best mains of each character to learn from are. As long as the person mains a character, they have potential to be listed under that character. New players or current played can look to these players as an example of what to do with that character.

In order to "main" a character, the player must play that character significantly more than the other characters, and be more developed than the other characters they play. To those who say they main every character or they main random, THEY DO NOT MAIN ANYONE. Likewise, a good player that has the best of a certain character by default then they do not count since they do not main the character. Secondaries do not count as well. Realistically, I shouldn't see anyone's name appear on this list more than twice. Furthermore, there are certainly good players that have performed well using a different character. However, the reason I'm looking specifically at MAINS of the character is to give those players that main the character recognition for doing so and putting in time to develop their character rather than simply performing well just by being a good player otherwise people like Zalozis would be on this list like 10 times or something lololol

I won't be writing these down as set in stone as soon as people say so, I'll take these more as nominations at first. Reasoning is helpful when deciding between players of a main. I'll list top 3 probably, that seems like it should be enough but it may be necessary to list more. If you do not think that a player should be on this list, bring it up and discuss. The players on this list must be held to some higher standard by showing good fundamentals, having a large amount of character knowledge, making smart decisions, and just overall setting a good example to learn from.

As an addendum, recent performance is most important but if an older player was outstanding then I will list them. Furthermore, the player must have a well developed character compared to mains of the same character. Simply maining a character (or being the only main) isn't enough to default to this list.



Don't nominate yourself, just don't be that guy. If you set a good example, then others will notice and will vouch for you. This isn't meant to be a Hall of Fame, I intend this to be a list for new players to see which players that main their character they should look for.

They are similar, but I came up with the idea separately. Besides, that only takes dittos into account. I'm talking something that looks at a player as a whole.

I'm so flattered to be included for Sonic.

Yeah! I have zero results to show for it, but when I think of the best Falcon mains I'm pretty sure this is the list.

edit: TAC I'd say recent is more important, simply because the game has changed so much that what old players did wouldn't even be relevant. I'll also amend the OP as necessary based on the input from you guys, if you have anything to dispute speak up! I also want to add that if I was the SOLE player for a given character but wasn't that great I wouldn't put myself on this list. The player has to develop their character enough to some consensus and be able to be noticeable among other mains of the same character. There is a great deal of difference between Zalo's Zelda (good) and my Zelda (terrible), but even if I was the 2nd best Zelda I wouldn't want my name on this list since I wouldn't be that great.

EDIT2: I'm not to certain on SS's mains, I've seen him play a lot of different characters and I was pretty sure he was just a Fox main. Also I think DS's fox is pretty good so I'll list that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Kylos(SoulSeeker) said he didn't main Fox anymore? I thought Kylos been using Marth/Link. Does Doof main Kirby and Miracle--7 main Goku now?
