This was in the same section of the bible that 'states homosexuality as a sin'. This, as well as all of the other s*** in the old testament was later refuted by Christ. Jesus didn't f***' tell homosexuals that they were sinning or doing wrong or whatever, and in many cases he hung out with prostitutes (that were more than likely engaging in homosexual activity) and told them that they were forgiven.

it was quoted in one of paul's epistles, that was written by paul after christ died.

and either way, paul was just a man. he wasn't jesus, and he wasn't perfect, and he had his own views that he used to teach the various churches with his letters

my bottom line is that christ never condemned homosexuals, and he mostly taught people to accept and love one anoher. if you still think differently that's your problem.

Jesus did not eliminate or nullify Old Testament laws, only the sacrificing, as he was the Ultimate Sacrifice. The rest is basically still meant to be in effect. But I'm done.

Boy please, Jesus did not say that at all. You're quoting Leviticus, (as quoted by Paul). Time for some unbiased HISTORY education, based on the scripture you just love to throw around without context or understanding.

1) Leviticus was a set of rules set in place for the ISRAELITES; it is the Jewish law. You are a gentile. Like it or not. An unclean, unholy gentile.
2) The Laws of Moses (Leviticus) were established for:
a) Provide an environment to make a very small tribe grow quickly into a nation capable of defending itself among other ancient civilizations.
b) Show how no man was capable of living up to God's expectations.
3) Jesus' purpose, according to scripture, was to tear down the separation between God and man, as well as give Christians the power to be seen as righteous in God's sight, because everyone sins. Everyone. So according to scripture, in layman's terms, Jesus is the holiness connector, so that EVERYONE can be holy. Even the homosexual.
4) There is NO WORD for homosexual, or homosexuality in Hebrew, or Ancient Greek. The closest thing to that within that could be loosely related to same-sex interaction is within the ancient Greek culture there was the practice of pederasty, and the male temple prostitutes of the Greco-Roman culture. Which would be unacceptable behaviour, according to scripture, were the practitioners either straight OR gay. Homosexuals are people like you and me who just happen to be attracted to the same sex. Not seeking young adolescents or religious prostitutes, so the behaviours described in the new testament cannot be accurately called homosexual, as homosexuality is not a behaviour, it is a trait of the being. Just like how someone might have white skin.
5) Speaking of translation, so much of it is WRONG, King James, NIV, etc. Words in various languages have multi-layered meanings, some which simply have no equal to the English language, YET people still INCORRECTLY attempt to match words and thus misconstrue the entire context of the verse. However, because these translations have been ingrained into the Christian mind, it's very hard to change the meanings of these interpretations. Which is why we have the homophobic church at large. However, here's some Church history for you. Look up Martin Luther, he was seen as a radical. Give it a few years, and we'll see the church evolve yet again. It's done it multiple times, and will continue to do so.
6) The very same Bible tells you "He who is without sin to throw the first stone" You are NOT without sin, so you have no right to restrict ANYONE of their rights, their god-given rights or look down on anyone with condemnation.
7) Jesus stated that the greatest commandment above all else is to LOVE, and if you have the audacity to call something or someone a monstrosity, you just broke the big J's dearest commandment and you are now living in sin. Go repent.

Now let's look at this ethically and with common sense:

1) You are not homosexual, so what does it matter to you whether a homosexual can or cannot get married, or can or cannot have sex. It is not your place to state that.
2) You have NO right to judge anyone else, and I'd say the same thing to anyone. If someone is fat, let them be fat. If someone is a rat whisperer, let them be a rat whisperer. So long as they are doing no harm to no other being, then leave them alone. You'd want the same thing for yourself. If I thought kingdom hearts was a stupid game that I didn't understand why people like, and decided that NO ONE should play it because I didn't like it, would that be fair. No.
3) We live in an era of justice and equality, at least we attempt to convey that here in the Western world. To under-service members of our community is unjust and unfair. They should NOT be treated like a sub-class of humans. I'm not going to say it's just as bad as the slave trade, or the Jim Crow Laws, and the various other social injustices that different "races", I use that word loosely, have endured, but to treat any one group of law abiding citizens differently from the majority population is unjust and wrong on many levels. You may as well be a racist.

In conclusion, you're misusing the scripture, you're sinning greatly by disobeying Jesus' greatest command, and you're treating your fellow human being as less than you because of who they choose to love. Wrong. Wrong Wrong.
